Kliff means 2 or more turned us down. I don't want that.
So T. Brown? Not my 1st choice either (what do I know?) but after a few turn you down, you take what's left.

Even if Caleb was made of steel and it was sustainable, I don't know why any OC would want that because Caleb isn't that dynamic of a running threat. Half the time when he looked to run, he'd still wind up getting sacked.
Caleb tended to run backwards.

Bears and ND are my teams. I lose /win if that happens. He is my 2 after Ben.
I don't touch TB after his end of game management as Bears HC last year. Had nothing to do with who's scheme your running.

Do you mean MF? Gotta love those initials, LOL. Could you imaging MF and BJ on the same squad? Add Vance Joseph to finish erecting your staff.

I think Kliff would be great for the Bears, if they still had Fields.

Kingbury should be at the top of Bears list. The problem is can you wait to interview with him as Johnson and McCarthy probably getting jobs this week.

Why on earth would he come to Chicago? The expectation will be that he can make Caleb Williams into what Jayden Daniels is, but that obviously is never going to happen. So you get held accountable for Williams being a stiff and dragged & flamed relentlessly in the media then discarded onto the “never gonna be a head coach again” pile.

On top of that didn’t they basically insult him last year in the OC search?

I’m of split minds. Does he capitalize now and take a HC job even if all the landing spots are pretty bad (though New Orleans is a nice fresh slate where expectations will be reasonable)? Or do you wait a year for better opening at the risk of being Bobby Slowik’d if Jayden Daniels has a sophomore slump?

What? Bears are by far the best situation for opening HCs in terms of talent.

Kliff coached Murray and now Daniels. Murray was an enigma and Kliff got canned. Murray and Caleb have more in common than Caleb and Daniels. Daniels’ decision making is on par with a 10 year veteran. Caleb’s decision making is below average. How many times on the tape did Caleb stare down an open WR and didn’t throw the ball or if he did accurately? Daniels rarely did that. He also anticipates the blitz and makes the right read almost every time.

Daniels is just a special player. None of these traits can be coached up in one training camp and in season. It’s called the “it” factor. Some guys have it and others don’t.

Jaden Daniels has 177 rushing attempts. So much of what Kliff is doing is predicated on the threat of the QB run. To put that in perspective, David Montgomery has 192 carries.

No thanks!
That’s a very telling stat. And I’m not sure I understand why DC’s are not having their DE’s hold the edge and not push any farther back than what the QB drop is. Seems like the Lions were victimized by the lack of contain.

Plus, there’s no question that even if you’re following the rules set forth by the DC to contain him, it’s tough duty.

Give Daniels a fast track, inside a dome and good luck!
