Yes they do, they inform all your opponents that you think you're an NBA All-Star allowing them to identify your self-stupidity and then give them a target to throw elbows at.
Then they help wiping away your ******-bag tears after you're done crying from receiving said elbow to the face.
I'd wear them. I still have scars on my arms from asphalt, teeth and fingernails. I used to play at least 8 hours a day in the summer and you have all kinds of damage. No fouls were called, even on blood, unless you were a pussy.
shooting sleeves dont really belong anywhere outside of the nba. but now that i think about it im not even sure why nba players even wear them. ray allen wears one but its not even on his shooting elbow (hes one of my favorite players but i just dont understand that).
if its not something to support a previous injury, it shouldnt be on the court. ankle/knee braces and supports are functional. ONE wristband can be functional (when its on your wrist and not your elbow).
but what do i know. i dont even think low-cut shoes belong on the court. think about your ankles man! so easy to turn one, why would you leave them vulnerable like that
