Pena is VERY good at digging balls out of dirt on throws but actuall fielding was not very good. He missed some easy balls hit right at him.

and it certainly shows how offensive production and overall worth(i.e. being the MVP or close to it) sometimes has more worth than actual defensive production regarding gold glove selections(or finalists)

ya....the gold glove thing becomes more of a popularity contest...and not actually rewarding players because of their exceptional DEFENSE..which is what the reward is supposed to be for

its whatever though....not like any of this stuff is new or surprising when you consider how sports are manifested these days(not being completely critical but ya its not perfect)
