I didn't see another recent thread about this. I picked up some New Castle Winter IPA today which I have heard is good. One of my favorites is Smithwick's Irish Ale.

What do you guys drink?

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Virginia Commonwealth Rams
For my local beer I like Hardywood Singel, for the larger distributors I had Sam Adams Winter Lager the other night and liked it...Dog Fish Head is also good

Strongbow!

I remember that from CBMB. I have yet to try it.

I have heard a lot of good things about Dog Fish Head 90 Minute IPA too.

Almost anything from Three Floyds (especially Zombie Dust [going to try to get tickets for Dark Lord Day this spring since I still haven't gotten to try that one yet]), the Williams Brothers' historic brews, Two Brothers' Resistance IPA and Northwind Imperial Stout, Allagash's White (modified Belgian), La Fin du Monde is decent...I could likely go on forever, but I'll leave it at those for now.

Are those locals? Any chance I find them in NC.

Three Floyds ships nation-wide as far as I know, Williams Bros. is Scottish and you can likely find them at specialty beer stores, Two Brothers is a local Chicago suburban brewery, Allagash is from Maine I believe (I've found it in Chicago, NY, PA, so they seem to ship all over), Unibrou (makes La Fin...) is based in Quebec and ships world-wide.

I really hate to say this but when I am pounding beers I like Coors light. It's a light smooth beer and I just like it. :beerbang:

I hate Coors. I don't drink a ton either. A lot of people like it though. If I'm drinking light beers I prefer Michalob.

You mean Michelob? I haven't had that for a long time.

Theres nothing wrong with Coors light if you're just pounding beers. I'm way past that point though so I can't drink anything thinner that Fat Tire. I think my favorite would be Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or some sort of unfiltered wheat beer

Had some Great Lakes Christmas Ale over Thanskgiving that my brother in law brought. Pretty tasty. He didn't tell me it was 7%. By the time we sat down to eat and I'd had a few of them, I was the life of the party.
