Since we are now @ # 3, I was looking @ teams that may want to trade up for a QB
and think there's a realistic chance the first buyer may be the Colts @ #7.
This is probably too low to get one of the top 2 D prospects most are hoping for.
The other teams in between I can see sticking with their current QB or because of
big contracts they can't get out of. Next is #9, the Panthers but again that's too far down.
Thoughts?

There is not a scenario where the Bears trade down and are still able to get Anderson/Carter. Even if they were to magically trade back to 5, I could see both guys off the board already. So, let's just get that out of your head right now.

It's either stay put and draft Anderson/Carter or trade back for draft capital

Actually, you're wrong. What if the teams from 3-6 all miss the time limit. Then the Bears get pushed up a bit and then they'll be able to draft one of Anderson or Carter at #7.

Use your allah damn head.

Sure there is, Will Levis just needs to have a team jerk off to his combine workout and go #3/#4.

I dont expect it, but not out of the realm of probability.

Also, for OP, bears are only in #3 right now due to SOS. If they lose out, they should have the #2 pick as their SOS would be more difficult at end of season.

The Bears will probably beat the Lions and blow the high pick anyway. Just wait until it's all said and done.

Bears are #3 because they have the more difficult SOS. The team with a more difficult SOS gets the lower pick.

Doubt the lions as its in Detoilet.

The vikings to end the season is a different story. That team might be in shambles by week 18.

@Hawkeye. I noticed you disliked this post. I'm sorry you're upset that I proved your assertion wrong that a trade down could not possibly result in the Bears getting Anderson or Carter, but I'm not sorry that I'm right.
I find that scenario highly unlikely to happen. Why would the Lions trade up one spot with the Bears when they know the Bears aren't taking a QB? And for 3 firsts?! Stop dreaming Peter Pan!

I did like your mock. Would be thrilled with Carter/Johnson although I think I prefer Addison at this point.

This has probably always been the case. I think people have been operating under 2 assumptions:

1. The Seahawks and/or Lions want a franchise QB. Both teams seem to really like their QBs and are competing for a playoff spot with said QBs. Seattle wants to re-sign Geno. Lions seem to be moving forward w/ Goff.

They were also NEVER going to trade both of their 1st round picks to move up 1 or 2 spots. So those mock trades are bad.

2. These QBs are worth trading up for. This isn't 2021. There is no can't miss Trevor Lawrence QB. There is no guy that has come out of nowhere to make all these off-platform wow throws like Zach Wilson. There are no supreme athletic specimen like Lance and Fields with great arms, good size, and huge upsides.

IDK if teams are going to go crazy over Young at 6' 190. IDK if teams are going to go crazy over Stroud who is nowhere near the prospect Fields was, and Fields fell to 11th. IDK if teams are going to go crazy over Levis with his 19/10 TD:INT rate.

Poles can just tell him if they don't trade, he's taking stroud and trading him to another team for even more picks. Why is this so complicated?
