Solid B

Wright and Stevenson are day 1 starters
Johnson is going to start sooner or later and is a great fit in the offense
I think Scott has a lot of potential and could see some success year 1, although not enough balls to go around for major production

I’m not that high on the Dexter pick. Definitely my least favorite pick in the draft but I understand it.

Overall, it’s a rock solid draft.

Poles addressed alot of needs but passed over alot of talent. With this empty a roster I felt it should have been more about talent acquisition.

Give it a b. Wright was a good pick. Like gervon and zachh. Wish we drafted a center though. Not understanding Sewell. Wanted to use late picks to pick higher upside guys.

I would have chosen A- but since that choice does not exist I will go A ——- I really like the speed, athleticism and size of this group. There is enough raw talent in this group for coaches to enhance them into monsters. Stevenson is a baller who make his presence known very fast… and the wideout (Scott) was a flat out steal

Did address holes but also wasted picks, considering the holes we still have while drafting positions we absolutely don't need (3 DBs and a 4th WR).

I can't say he learned anything from his first draft. Part of that is because of the largest number of holes was defense so I can't tell. But he definitely has a WTF infatuation with DBs that was shown in his 1st and now driven home in his 2nd.
Good or not Stevenson's pick was a luxury pick that could've better served a need. I don't see getting a trade for any of the 5 or so DBs we cut since it's obvious we're not going with 15.
The good news is we should eventually get another Tillman or Polamalu and we definitely won't get a Haynes instead of a Polamalu. Good DBs are exciting football but without QB pressure they won't be shining as bright as they could.

For the trades, while fair he probably could've done better.

I don't do grades because it's a gut reaction based on what I think should have been done and not what was actually done. For instance, I personally think Carolina should have traded the first overall pick back to the Bears as compensation for Jon Fox. They didn't do that so is it fair if I give Carolina an F on their draft? Nah. So grades are worthless, but I do have some thoughts:

* Being #TeamOT I'm happy with what they did at #10. I was a PJJ guy but @knoxville7 can attest that I liked Wright. I like when guys on the line can be described as "tone setters." Love the idea that he can just be one big shit kicker on the line.
* An offensive line of Jones-Jenkins-Whitehair-Davis-Wright is decent. I'm not exactly sure where last year's line ranked, but I think on paper they're a better unit right now.
* No drastic movements please. If Jenkins goes down I don't want to see Whitehair move to LG with Patrick coming in at C. Keep CW at C and just put Patrick at LG. I think we can all agree that if we have to rely upon Patrick at all next season the team is fucked anyway.
* Would love to hear from Poles about not addressing center. CW is 30 and didn't play well last year. Lucas Patrick was a whiff last year. It'd be interesting to find out if the Day 3 plan was Juice Scruggs to start and packing a deal to move back up to take Rochon. Once the Texans took Scruggs in the late third did that changed the plan?
* Drafting for the possibility of injury is a loser's outlook. CC: @JoJoBoxer
* Hey look a RB from Texas. That has to be some consolation for @dentfan
* I didn't watch any of the ESPN/ABC broadcast, but caught a tweet from Louis Riddick saying Rochon is a great pass protector. That alone makes him valuable.
* Not sure I really understand going after both Dexter and Pickens. I know you want a rotation, and I realize you were bad at stopping the run last year - but who is there to get to the QB?
* I don't know anything about Stevenson, but I like the story. Him being on the outside and moving Gordon to the slot makes the pass defense better.
* Tired: Velus Jones Jr.; Wired: Tyler Scott. I hope he can return punts.
* I remember seeing Sewell in mocks and on that pff simulator going in the first 2-3 rounds.

Not having the ability to think critically is the true loser philosophy.

Having two players who are basically the same, but one gives you that cherry on top of being versatile can be quite important, but, like I said, let's hope for the best with the Bears' choices in the draft.

Ha! Too early to tell if it's Riley Ridley or Daniel Braverman vibes. There was another guy - I can't remember his name off hand right now. Though your reply brings me to another thought I should have added to my above post:

* At yesterday's press conference, Poles alluded to (paraphrasing here) Jaylon Johnson being around for a long time. I simply can't remember if I've heard a thing about Mooney and a possible extension.
