Burden’s highlight reel has it all. A++ pick. There’s td celebrations, muscling up after every catch, ball spinning, getting overly in defenders faces, high stepping.

All things considered though I’m giving poles an +F. Notched it up from an -F based on burden

I think when Judkins and Hendy went Burden was a no doubter dropping there. We’re a DJ/Rome injury away from nada. Defenses can’t take 1 play for granted now with DJ, Rome, Burden, Loveland, and Swift/pick

I didn't expect us to take Burden but you can't argue with the value there. I also like that we're not playing on offense anymore, loading the team with dynamic receiving targets for Caleb after beefing up the line in free agency.

Then we grabbed Trapilo. Sounds like there's plenty to like about him. Nice player to add to the mix there at tackle and could possibly take over for Braxton at LT after this coming year.

Lastly, Shemar Turner seems like a guy who can play all over the line with some upside to get better with some good coaching. Something about A&M turning out all sorts of prospects that need better coaching.

Meh! The 2nd rd blew up in our face once Judkins and Henderson were taken and only got worse when they took Burden. I like Trapillo because hes a G who could really be a nice depth piece but you couldve found that in the 3rd round and really boosted the pass rush at 39 or 41. I dont know. Whatever.

#39 - Luther Burden, WR, Missouri - C+ - Doesn't get enough downfield separation. A lot of his production was from essentially forward toss sweeps and shovel passes around the LOS. His coach tried really hard to keep him happy and schemed up easy yards for him. Still a very elusive player with the ball in his hands and I'm sure Ben can scheme some great plays to get him in the open field. His skillset overlaps with DJ Moore's, and doesn't provide much on the outside, so becuase of that the #39 pick is a bit rich for me.

#56 - Ozzy Trapilo, OT, Boston College - B+ On the surface, he seems like a solid OT. I didn't like the value of OT in general after the top 3 guys were picked before us in the top 10. In the end, we did really need a swing OT and he fits that need. So I can't bash the pick too much.

#62 - Shemar Turner, DT, Texas A&M - B- Another pick that fits the need, but I would have preferred someone different at the position. (Omar Norman-Lott). Also, it feels like we have spent the last few 2nd rd picks on OT and DT to underwhelming success. So it is hard for me to go out on a limb and immediatley Trust Poles in this area of th e draft with these positions. Especially with a guy who only had 2 sacks last year.

Overall: B- = We filled some needs and did what needed to be done. Not sure we got the best value or best talent availble, but solid pick-ups. Some are worried about Runningback, but I think it was wise to pass on these 2nd/3rd rd guys. Some good value will be there for our 4th and 5th rd picks. (Dylan Sampson, Jarquez Hunter, Brashard Smith to name a few)

WR, OT, DT/DE is a disaster?
RT, yes. Not really a position of need. DT, he may be alright but they have plenty of 3T already. He also not really much as a pass rusher, which imo is the biggest need. Burden is a bit of a headcase, but really they have too many mouths to feed in the passing game and completely neglected EDGE and S. This team has 3 real EDGE players who combined for 8.5 sacks last year. Not sure how they've improved the most important thing that defenses do, getting after the passer.

Great 2nd round.

Luther may have not been a need but he's BPA and can be a star in this league.

He's also an electric slot, guy could even take snaps from the backfield.

Got an OT who is a giant and the BPA Defensive lineman. I'm great on it.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I chose B. Burden is talented, but no clue how we use all these players. I love the other 2 picks though. Generally, didn’t want a WR, but hard to grade poorly a guy with that kind of talent. Poles definitely did BPA.

Well, if the bears stay healthy, they should pass all over everybody. Another running back and help on defense would’ve been nice though.
