Yesterday, Blackhawks defenseman Erik Gustafsson took part in morning skate before the team hosted the Nashville Predators, but he did not participate in warmups and was a late healthy scratch from the game. This morning, the team announced that Gustafsson will not travel on the upcoming road trip, meaning that he is almost certain to be moved ahead of the NHL trade deadline, which is at 2 PM central time on Monday.

Thank goodness Gus saved his 60 point season in a non contract year! Else the Hawks may have been forced to extend him.

I thought we would never move forward til Kane, Toews, Keith, Seabrook and Crawford were gone. All they keep doing is moving along the second and third tier players. They are supposed to do that to find replacements for the above 5.
As far as gus providing, power play was fine when he was on the first unit as the only d man.

The hawks are trying to get back their top Defensive prospect and a first rounder for the pair.
I wonder if the Gus talks were always with carolina or they passed on a deal after Carolina started calling hot and heavy for Lenhar after the apparent kicking the tires they have been doing.

Carllson came up and was pretty dominant, yet another one of our D prospects not named Beaudin or Mitchell who comes up and makes an impact.

If traded over the summer, they could have gotten a 2nd or maybe even a 1st after his stats last year.
