My favorite teams
Great show. Almost Breaking Bad good.. ALMOST.
Great show. Almost Breaking Bad good.. ALMOST.
That would be sad if it were canceled. I believe AMC gives good shows that start off with bad ratings a fair shake at renewal. As long as they aren't losing money.
I watched the 6th episode with headphones, and I genuinely believed it was raining outside when I finished. That is just how great the audio mixing is on this show. The details are fantastic, and I have only seen a few period errors. The facts are fairly accurate too, something I don't expect to be accurate with these kinds of shows, but HCF has been better than any show like it.
I was a big fan of Rubicon a few years back and the ratings were double what HCF is getting. AMC cancelled it after 1 year.
Loved Rubicon, that was a shame.
Halt and Catch Fire isn't as good as that but it is better than Turn. Overall HCF is a very good show, and I'll miss it.
Disclaimer: I'm biased, the show takes place in an engineering department in 1983, I worked in an engineering department in 1983. They get it mostly right, of course there was no Joe where I worked. The lack of a mechanical eng. dept, is a minor flaw. The software vs hardware stuff is spot on, although I was more involved with the hardware design vs testability feud. The bad hair and beards, the overall nerdiness brings back some great memories.
Ill have to check it out
Anyone see Sundays episode? I think the shoes really hitting its stride. I hope they get renewed, so much better than turned
As a tech guy I decided to give this show a run..... as a dude I gave this show a break after 2 things happened.... 1 was that Falling Skies started back up and 2 was the scene where the main character made out with that dude..... I will return to the show to see how it progressed but the hardcore dude on dude action was a bit much lol
Falling Skies turned to shit after the 2nd season.. crossed it off my list.
I still like it.... and solid Sci-fi shows are harder and harder to come by lately.... though I do think Falling Skies hit that point at the end of Season 2 which was the end of the original idea and then they had to come up with new material once it got the green light for another season. It is still entertaining enough for me to keep watching.
If you like sci-fi, try "The Strain" on FX.. just started up 2 weeks ago. Looks solid so far.
This show just gets better and better.
