Haven't heard the money part yet. Wild speculation time..... Im guessing 5.5. Probably more.

So Stan is busy locking up players a year before they are due. I think he knows the cap is going up and he is looking at Toews and Kane coming due soon. I think these are smart moves.

I'm guessing under 5. No way is he getting Keith/Seabrook money.

But I knew they were working on this last week.

5 more years at 4.1 per will be even more of a bargain by the time that contract expires. Have too applaud Stan. All Hail Stan

My favorite teams
 1. Portland Timbers
 1. Chicago Blackhawks
I was expecting 5 for 5. Right there is the extra mil for Crawford covered.

Glad to have Hammer back.

BTW, is it just me or does it seem like the core--or rather players very close to the core, are locking itself up early long-term for more cup shots together?

Now just need Toews and Kane for the max length at about 8 mil per (wishful thinking, I know).

Good deal... Glad to keep him and he will now have a trade bait friendly contract if ever needed. I remember when we all thought him getting 3.5 was the end of the world. hah.

I don't think you'll find many "haters" on this site. You will find some of us that question the scum bag tactics he and his asshole boss used to get him the job though. But hey they won another Cup with Tallons CORE.

Hjalmarsson: "I might have been able to get more had I waited, but I make a lot of money"

When was the last team you heard a professional athlete say that?!?!?!?!

I thought Bickell said something to the same extent. And he left an awful lot more money on the table (especially after seeing the Slarkson and Horton deals) than Hjammer did.

Goddamn, I love this team.
