There ought to be an Orphan Day.I am an orphan that married an orphan and never had kids of my own...so it's just Sunday to me.
The only reason(s) I am even replying:
1.) Orphan to Orphan shoutout. Even across all that water...we be bros now.
2.) Let me tell you about brilliant gift giving. For the wife on Valentine's Day...no dead flowers or heart shaped boxes. No pricey jewels or extravagant trips. I went to a local chocolate factory and bought her a rainbow of chocolate discs for cooking/baking. Every kind she could ever need for any kind of desert she would want to make. She loved it and thought it was so much more thoughtful than a lame box of chocolates. Three months later and the chocolate is not only still hanging around, but I am currently eating a brownie made from said chocolate. In fact, I have had a wide assortment of freshly baked treats over the last 90 days. That is gift giving at it's finest my friends.

There is.
There is a day for everything. Today just so happens to be National Straw Hat day.
That was a brutal night. Glad it's over.
What a time to be alive.

$11.50/HR but you are going to sweat your balls off. Hardest job you've ever had.
Speaking of Mother's day:
How do you all feel about those that try to lump in single parents with the "opposite" day of their gender (identified or genetic)?
I don't know if you've all seen this out there, but it's like there are a bunch of single dads trying to elbow in on Mother's day and be identified as "acting as a mother", and a bunch of single moms out there trying to elbow in on Father's day and be identified as "acting as a father".
Personally? I think it's bullshit if the parent tries to force the kid into it, but if the kid wants to honor their parent for taking on the opposite parent role, then so be it.
