I made a very quick glance at the thread title and knew it was Sigler's immediately

I don't read any of this material and if his 'fanbase' claims they do then they're not very bright I guess

Watched the Giants episode 1 of their Hard Knocks last night. There was a couple times that they had their GM and his top front office people talking about if they were going to re-sign Saquan or tag him or whatever and they were talking about all the other RB's that were free agents and they didn't think too much of D.Swift. They were saying he would be a RB that they would need another RB to rotate with him so didn't seem like they saw him as a true work horse RB and would need a good RB2 to go with him. Then later in the show they were talking about what they were going to do at RB again and didn't even have Swift on their list but had Singletary, Pollard, Z.Moss, J.Jacobs and one or two others.

I just think Poles once again jumped the gun too quick on Swift, as he did with Byard, when free agency opened. I mean it obviously doesn't mean shit to how Swift will do for us but just didn't like how they seemed somewhat out on Swift from the start. Hopefully he'll silence whatever critics he has this year and earn his contract with the Bears.

You're really overrating Barkley and his 3.9 ypc

Ummmmm huh? Where in that post did i even rate Barkley at all?

somehow because the giants said something about rotating backs when it comes to Swift, doesn't even mean anything negative when the "workhorse" they wanted to replace had a 3.9 ypc

you also failed to mention that they didn't think they could pry him away from philly

The funny thing is then there is also this take that the Giants GM gave rave reviews of Swift. From the exact same episode, but with more context.

All that said, I am not sure how much I would listen to the Giant GM right now on how to build a team. That Daniel Jones contract was bad from Day 1 and I won't be surprised when it gets them all fired next offseason.

Wouldn't really say what they said (down below) would be rave reviews but they did say some good things about him while also saying they would need a RB to rotate with him, which is what we have Herbert and Roschon for. We all know his injury history with the Lions but he showed he can stay healthy with Philly last year so hopefully that's the Swift we get because if he can stay healthy i think he can be really good for us.

From Hard Knocks

“This guy, from a physical talent standpoint can make up some of the things you lose with Saquon from an explosiveness standpoint, from a pass game standpoint,” said Giants Director of Pro Scouting Chris Rossetti.

I'll listen to anyone about anything football that can make it to become a GM for any NFL team. Not an easy thing to do.

So on Giants hard Knocks last night the Giants FO had Singletary at a $5 mil per and Swift at $6 mil per and seemed like they liked going with Singletary over Swift. I hope Swift is seeing all the hate he's getting and uses it to motivate the hell out of himself. We'll need the good/healthy Swift to make any kind of noise for a playoff push this year.

So your brain goes:
Well if the Giants front office brain trust that signed Daniel Jones to a huge extension didn't want Swift then it must be so throughout the league.

And does anyone with half a brain think Swift is a "workhorse" back?

And obviously your brain doesn't go at all. Sad story but keep working on it.
