Greetings all, as you know a lot of us here, including myself, have agreed to take part in the Have A Skate With Bob event in Rockford.

I am really pumped to be apart of this great event with so many people, but at the same time, I don't have any equipment or even know what all we'll need. So I thought I would start this thread as a place where people are attending the event could offer up any spare equipment they can bring for those of us who will be attending but may not have any. I've been so focused on fundraising that I haven't had time to figure out my equipment situation.

If we could start out by listing what all each person will need, then I can put a list together of all the extra stuff the players are willing to donate to others for use during this game? It's also a great way to help donate to the game above and beyond what you've already donated and you get it back. For anyone else who would like to donate to the game and hasn't yet, you can donate at

My Page Here

or

Bob's Page Here

Thanks again for everyone's help and participation on this. Again. I have no equipment and I'm going to have to buy stuff in order to play so anything I don't have to buy is more money I (all of us) can spend on the silent auction.

List of Equipment Needed for each player:

Skates

Stick

Shin pads?

help me fill out this list....

List of Equipment Donated:

Your name and equipment goes here....

Also, all useful information about great places to pick up used equipment, proper sizing of equipment and anything else would be great. I can also use this thread to keep a list of all the board members who will be participating.

Thanks for any help with this.

i have a pair of oldddddddd skates i can bring. top of the line.........in 1996, bauer supreme 3000's size 10.5. fits a size 11-12 shoe i'd say. nice shape, will work fine for this kind of thing.

i have quite a few kinda fucked up LH sticks that i can bring if people want me to. they will be ok for anyone who is just screwing around out there that doesn't plan on firing a 100mph shot off. plus if you break them i wouldn't care, so you can really slash the **** outta people.

i'd say if people are looking for equipment, its either you are a big guy or a skinny guy. it doesn't have to be perfectly sized. you can pretty much make anything work for one day.

I have an older pair of Bauers as well someone is welcome to use, they are size 9 I think.

I also have a used cup that someone can borrow, it's an "extra large".

That would be awesome... I wear 10.5-11 shoe depending on brand, so they sound perfect?... I don't really care how good they anymore, because as you know I will not be burning up the ice...

And thanks Klem. that would be great.

So I have:

Skates

Helmet

Gloves.

Looks like I still need: (Optional)

Shin Pads

Hockey Pants

Elbow Pads

Stick (Optional because I could probably just use one of Evo's LH.... )

And it looks like Tater is offering a pair of Size 9 Skates for use, and an extra small boys husky cup.

It's funny, I used to have 2 shitty worthless hockey sticks for ever because I used to use them for roller hockey when I was little, but I finally got rid of them not too long ago because I didn't think I'd ever use them again.

I would say mandatory is the following: Helmet, skates, shin pads, gloves, and elbow pads. Without pads on your knees and elbows, you can really **** yourself up. Especially as a newbie. Gloves are also extremely important, seeing as you will probably be on the ice a lot, and don't want to lose fingers....

Even as a damn good skater, you won't catch me on the ice with others without those items.

Good to know. I figured Shin pads for errant slashes... Thought I might be able to get away without any elbow and knee pads because I honestly don't know the flow of how this game works and if I'll even be able to get out there with all you guys wizzing around. I figured I'll be concentrating so hard on skating and moving that I won't have time to fall. haha.

Did I REALLY have to use purple?

Seriously gear up. About the only thing that could be considered optional would be shoulder pads.

Looks like I still need Pants and Shin Pads... I'd love to borrow them if you think they will fit? I don't know sizing on this stuff?

I have a pair of size 9 skates that you could probably squeeze into if whiteevo can't make it.

Anyone else needing any equipment?

I am going to contact the premier skate shop here in town and see if an assist can be provided.
