No, I'm not kidding. I've never played before or ever bought equipment or clothes to play. Closest thing I've done is roller hockey in the neighborhood with a couple of friends, and that was almost 20 years ago. As I mentioned when I started this thread, I literally have no idea what I need.

I would try and get pants for sure, possibly elbows. If you fall on your elbow without pads, it would be bad news...also, it may sound silly and simple, but do you have hockey socks??

Nope, I don't have any pants clothes whatever, which is why I started this, I need to know what I need. I assume I can't use a pair of tube socks stretched out?

Holy **** am I worthless. I'm still not even sure how this game is going to work if I'm on the ice... I don't exactly count as a player, it'd be like being down two guys, one at my position and the other helping me up.

I don't know position either. The last time I just skated around and laughed my ass off. I did get one shot off, and that was my goal. I think this time my goal will be to actually make a decent pass to someone.

Sweet, thanks. I know I'm over thinking it, I thought I was overthinking it, but everyone started saying I needed all this stuff and god damn it I'm going to be in pain, I'm just trying to minimize it at this point! haha. Gotta make everyone get their money's worth. I've got almost 800 in donations to think about here!

As I said, knees and elbows are the biggest thing. If nobody has elbows you can borrow, I would really suggest stopping at Play It Again and getting some BASIC elbow pads. The elbows will bear the brunt of it when you fall.
Also, whoever said he isn't going to sweat is crazy. He'll be pouring sweat just trying to scrape his ass up off the ice!

I got stuff at Play It Again today. Tell them you're playing in a charity game and they hooked me up so I'm guessing they may hook you up, they gave me a 20% off. All brand new shins, shoulder pads, pants and elbows (though a bit small so I may need to exchange they didn't have a good selection of fat guy elbows) for $125 for all new shit. I played enough in my life that I was surprised that I walked out with all new stuff for that price
I wish I had my pre stroke stuff, but oh well. Now all I need is a lid still.

Wow, that is awesome. But this may honestly be my only game ever, that's why I'm putting so much effort into it. Might not have this chance again. For different reasons. I'm just greatful that everyone has been so awesome in helping me out. it's why I've really been trying to do my part on the fund raising side.
