Yep, they put in a sizable donation and bought 100 tickets for the game. Their captain and I talked about the teams after the game and there will be some adjustments for the next one.

Next year preskate is 10 minutes. Lets actually make a line up. I think had we done that we might have hung in for a little while at least. Besides I have my secret play!



Just so you know I wouldn't have changed a thing. It ended perfectly. Tom and Becky I'm sure were laughing!

Awesome, they were great guys too, chatted with a bunch of them after the game and such. Happy to have them all back, just think some adjustments could be made to make it more fun for the players, the crowd and OUR goalies...

They were very good. I'm thinking they'd still have scored a lot. Our top two lines with Oak were good, but they can't skate the entire game.

Meals were a total clusterfuck, and for that I apologize.

Next year, we should say to hell with the catering at the rink. Overpriced, and the food...wasn't very good. We should make reservations at a local place for food/drinks between our game and the Hogs' game. Also, a little tailgating outside before going out to eat wouldn't hurt either! That's really my only suggestion.

Damn good idea. Even a Pizza place. Problem is you have to find a place that can hold 100 people plus.

A number of places around the BMO were addressed and they were either not able to accomodate the number of our group, not open at that time or not willing to guarantee us a space. There is a microbrewery within walking distance which would have been fantastic not only for their beer and food but there separate room was perfect for us. The owner is a schmuck and would not block it off for us even with a guarantee of what we would spend. A F'n idiot and I have let a number of people know about it. Our only other option was to load up our cars and drive somewhere and then you had parking to consider once we came back, people drinking, etc.....



The decision to stay at the BMO was made after days of other considerations at other places that I personally went to.

If the numbers are a problem, next year we should just go out with the Have a Skate team, friends, and family. That's what I will probably end up doing regardless. Bob asked for a suggestion, and that's the only thing that I would change next year. I realize the issues with making other plans, but they wanted $88 for a case of beer for ****'s sake....

The meal was probably my biggest disappointment of the day.



One place we went to would have had to close the business down for our party.

Lots of time to make minor changes for the most part. As others have said, for the first year of it being the size it was. It will only get that much greater with time to tweek.



I sent you a FB message about an idea also Bob. This is a change that while maybe not the "popular idea" by everyone right away I think might be good.

btw, if you want me to take on some of the food stuff, I can ask around out there some too. I have a bunch of ideas about that, but I'll get into that with you somewhere besides here.
