I said it somewhere else, but you guys are right about what it would take to get Stuart - a pick or a prospect.

The problem is the cap space the Hawks have available to them right now. Someone on the roster would have to be moved somewhere in order to make room for Stuart to come on board.

True, thats when Hendry could be moved. Ryan Johnson coul also be sent down. Another could be placing Boynton on Waivers and sending him down. I'm interested to see how Bowman manage all this out

Most defensemen in the old days (say 1980's and 1990's) were reputed to hit their prime at about 27 or 28. I don't think that there is any evidence showing that Seabrook has peaked; if anything this is a guy that has done what you want when you draft a guy.

Yes, and it seems to me (I might be wrong on this) that nowadays those ages are higher (older) because defensemen are generally taking longer to develop since they can't get away with the clutching and grabbing...you know, they actually have to learn how to play defense at the NHL pace.

I think the success that we saw last year from our young group of D is more of an anomaly than the norm.

Edit - This is just a theory I haven't seriously looked into I should mention.

Yeah, that might do the trick. You know I'm all for less IT for RJ. :D
