LAST TIME OUT

Chicago came out on top of a back-and-forth contest in Columbus on Tuesday night, 6-5 in a shootout. Patrick Kane led the way with a goal and three assists, while Carl Soderberg registered his first multi-point game as a Blackhawk with a goal and two assists. Brandon Hagel scored his first NHL goal with Dominik Kubalik and Adam Boqvist rounding out regulation scoring. Kevin Lankinen made 25 stops, including five in overtime, to earn his eighth win on the year.
Dating back to the 2010-11 season, The Blackhawks are 25-8-2 over their last 35 games against the Blue Jackets. Kane paces the club with 12 points (3G, 9A) against Columbus this season and he has points (10G, 23A) in 17 of his last 19 games vs. the Blue Jackets.

MILESTONE MAN

With his second four-point game (1G, 3A) of the season on Tuesday, night, Patrick Kane eclipsed the 30-point mark (9G, 21A) within 20 or fewer team games for the second time in his career (2015-16). He is the first player in franchise history to accomplish that feat since Denis Savard did it four times between 1981-82 and 1988-89. He is two goals away from becoming the fourth Blackhawks player in franchise history to record 400 goals with the club.
Kane shares fourth in the league with 30 points and shares third with 21 helpers during the 2020-21 campaign.

YOUNG GUNS

Brandon Hagel became the fifth Blackhawks rookie to notch their first career NHL marker this season on Tuesday night. Pius Suter and Philipp Kurashev are first and second among rookie goal scoring leaders during the 2020-21 campaign. Suter is third with 11 points and Kurashev shares fifth with nine points.
Chicago leads the NHL with 16 goals and 32 points from rookies this season.

CAT ATTACK

Alex DeBrincat shares 10th in the league with nine goals during the 2020-21 campaign. He is four goals away from tallying the 100th of his NHL career. He could become the 14th player in team history to debut with the team and need 300 or fewer career games to register 100 goals.
DeBrincat has four goals and six assists in nine career games vs. Columbus.

POWER-PLAY PROWESS

The Blackhawks share the NHL lead with a 33.3 percent power play percentage this season and have scored a power-play goal in 16 of 20 games this year. Chicago has scored two or more man-advantage tallies in four games during the 2020-21 campaign. Last season they accomplished that feat only three times in 70 regular-season games.
Dominik Kubalik's 11 power-play points share fourth in the NHL. Kubalik had eight power-play points (4G, 4A) during his rookie season.
The club's 21 PPGs share the league lead.

Let’s Go Hawks, let’s tighten up defensively, the PK needs to be a whole lot better as well. Hawks win 3-2. Kaner keeps the hot streak going.

Kaner gets 400 tonight.

Doesn't seem like they posted who is in net yet. Will be interesting to see how they bounce back.

I think Subban is in net. Probably a good game for him to start.

Hoping for more development strides.
