Things have changed. I worked for a DOD supplier and had to fill out an application for top secret clearance, in the app they asked about drug use, so every body says no, two weeks later I had my TS clearance, no piss test required.

One guy told them that he had smoked weed and still did, no clearance for him, they kept sending him new applications and he kept up with his "protest" I guess. He wasn't allowed access to anything couldn't work and was fired, but he showed them.
