Hard to believe but it's true. It was based off of the Neon platform but I think it had something to do with the way the back seats were removable, so it was considered a mini-sports-ute. I swiped this from the Wiki: http://en.wikipedia....sler_PT_Cruiser

"The PT Cruiser is a front-wheel drive 5-passenger vehicle, classified as a truck in the U.S. by the NHTSA for CAFEfuel economy calculations but as a car by most other metrics. Chrysler specifically designed the PT Cruiser to fit the NHTSA criteria for a light truck in order to bring the average fuel efficiency of the company's light truck fleet into compliance with CAFE standards."

It's a little like "The Crying Game". I can mentally envision Forest Whitaker hosting "Let's Make a Deal" and laughing at light truck enthusiasts trading for the truck behind curtain #3.

The El Camino was also considered a truck.

I would think that a state such as Minnesota would have a lot of trucks/SUV's because of the snow they get. Texas I'm sure takes the pick-up trophy but what state would take the SUV one?

I bet Cali. they love those things out there.

And I would love a mid 80's El Camino.I am so white trash.
