I will never understand why people with grandchildren always feel the need to say they feel so lucky or so blessed to have grandchildren when they have to do literally absolutely nothing to obtain them except have children of their own that grow up and like to have lots of unprotected sex 7x24 until your children have children that you get to call grandchildren and how luckily blessed you are to have them when it was literally your kids that have them.

It makes sense to me. I know lady that wants grandchildren but her daughter has a blood clotting disorder and keeps having miscarriages, and will likely never give birth. I know another older couple whose only son died in his early 20's because of a motorcycle accident... And there are people who want grandchildren, but their own kids don't want to have kids.

So someone who wants grandchildren and gets them can look at situations like the ones I shared above and say they are lucky to have grandchildren, because a lot of people that want them, don't get them.

Also, in general, luck doesn't require much effort on one's part. That's why it's called luck.
