My favorite teams
Hester's name still sells a lot of jerseys too for whatever that is worth.
His highlights from 2012-2013 would also be pretty good viewing. I don't see that he is done and I would prefer they least kept options open. As long as the Bears are towards the top of the League in starting field position I can't downgrade the returner, especially with the terrible D they had this season. If he is on a Min. deal he is only about 4 hundred grand more pricey than a rookie.
Come on Pac, you know his name rings in the streets.

Devin Hester said about 13 teams contacted his agent. Hester said he's willing to play WR. Said ran 4.38 40 last week.

He is still waiting for a contract. Not many teams coming after him. He is going to have to sign a cheap contract.
I said months ago that his new contract will not be bad. I'd rather the Bears sign him, instead of signing a scrub special teams guy for the same amount. What are the chances that Hester signs with the Bears for a vet minimum (or near that number)? Would it make sense for the Bears?
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...-to-play-for-dolphins-20140315,0,495308.storyHester said he’d even be willing to play wide receiver, an experiment that hasn’t been fruitful during his career. Hester has 217 receptions for 2,807 yards and 14 touchdowns, and he’s never seemed to excel in that role.
Hester said he shot down the idea of playing wide receiver for the Bears last year.
“Me and some of the guys on the offensive side weren’t on the same page,” Hester said. “I said if we’re not on the same page we can just let me focus on kickoff and punt returns...It just didn’t click on the offensive side of the ball.”
Hester said the Bears coaching staff and head coach Marc Trestman weren’t upset by his decision.
“No, they weren’t (upset),” he said. “Coach Trestman wanted me for receiver, but I told him I’d rather just focus on kickoff and punt returns.”
Hester, 31, is one of the best to ever play the game in that category. He led the NFL last season with 1,436 kickoff return yards and was sixth in kickoff return average at 27.6 yards per return.
The Dolphins use return specialist Marcus Thigpen for kickoff and punt returns, and 18th in kickoff return average at 22.3 yards per return last season.
Hester said he still has his best asset.
“Last week I ran a 4.38 (40-yard dash) so I’ve still got the speed,” Hester said. “It’s not that. I just have to be put in the right system and get the right opportunity and things will happen
He seems like nothing more than a "piece" for a team that is already really good and has room on the roster to have him just be a special teams return man, punts and kickoffs. Not sure what team has that room, is a team that is making a run at it, but he's really a luxury pick up at this point, IMO. He should not play WR. Unless they have a "Hester package" where he's only in for a few plays. He's not a really smart guy, and should save his energy for the return game. But I do think he'll sign someplace. I wish we could get him back, he's STILL very dangerous, people still kick away from him. He does make a difference. I don't see us getting him back.

I don't think he comes back to Chicago near min. It seems like most guys go someplace different if they have to take cheap deal.
Good GIF but I don't think Gould was the guy.
Another thing people can blame on Jay. I ate too much bacon for breakfast... Fuck Jay!
That is not possible.
