So yeah, back to the OP's point--you may want to take in a few matches from the major leagues before you settle on just picking a team. Reason is that too many people just gravitate to the EPL b/c of the ManUre's and Chelski's of the world or La Liga for Barca or the royal poopbags (Madrid). What you need to figure out is how you like to see play--straightforward fast and physical? EPL. Skillful, fast, and non-physical? La Liga. Deliberate, skillfull and a bit of drama? Serie A. And then there's the Bundesliga. While I don't follow German football, their league is probably one of the better ones for that level of play where undiscovered/newly discovered talent is groomed before they are sold off to the superclubs (although, Bayren counts among those).

Point is, learn the style of play you enjoy to watch, then watch the league---there will be a team or two that stand out to you. Then you're narrowing it down. most likely, from there, there will be a certain player that shows the style you wish you could employ, or flashes of brilliance that you can connect with. Perhaps its down to the manager and the formations he chooses that piques your curiosity. The possibilities are limitless, but they are all based on your personal preferences. Don't limit your enjoyment of the game and the team you support to a simple fact of number of big name players, $$ in the bank, or other factors that don't equal true character and real history.

This is football. Welcome back.

good point, off of just players that I like Fulham would be the initial pick, as already stated, but I enjoy physical footballing (both american and european) So I really wouldn't know who plays physical in all honesty in terms of a team.
