hows ghost reconn going to be ya thing

I think it'll be pretty good. There will be a Horde mode, and generally when one of those modes are in games, it makes the game last longer for some. Horde modes are always fun to play with people.

Future Soldier will have some Kinect compatibility if you have a Kinect. I remember watching the tech demo during E3 two years ago and with Kinect you could hold the weapons as if they were in your hands on the weapon customization screen. I thought I remember seeing that you could shout out commands and stuff with Kinect too like you can in Mass Effect 3.

This video was from that E3 in 2010. Even back then, it looked really good.

Gonna download Journey on PSN in a few minutes. Naughty Dog's creative director just said on Twitter that it's the "most beautiful and emotional game" she's every played. Same company who made PSN hits Flow, and Flower made Journey, so it's bound to be a unique experience.

Just finished it. Wow. I echo the Naughty Dog directors sentiments when she says it's the most beautiful and emotional game she's every played. Same for me (except Heavy Rain and Metal Gear Solid 4 were pretty emotional to me).

$14.99 is a little expensive for it since it's only about 2 hours at most, but game length really isn't important here, it's about the experience. This was the most unique experience I've ever had playing a game. You can run into other players online, but the only way to interact with them is to press Circle and let out a shout or a call, there is no headset functionality in this game so you can't talk, which makes things better. You can't see their user name so it's like you ran into a complete stranger in the middle of nowhere. You can choose to tag along with them, or go at it solo. My first playthrough I met someone along the way and we helped each other out until the end. It was my first true sense of camaraderie while playing a game in a loooong time.

If you have a PS3 and don't mind spending $15 for about a 2 hour experience (equivalent of buying a DVD or Bluray) then you must play this game.

didnt know where to put this soooo....

PS home supposedly getting some good MP games(free)....

Below are the three games and their description:

• Cutthroats: Battle for Black Powder Cove: Offering the biggest multiplayer experience in PS Home thus far, Cutthroats: Battle for Black Powder Cove allows up to 24 gamers to battle aboard pirate ships as both ship captains and gunners, attempting to take down their opponents’ ships. Utilizing a freemium game model, Cutthroats: Battle for Black Powder Cove is completely free-to-play, though users wishing to expand their ship’s offenses can purchase coins to use for upgrades. (Release Date: March 28)

• No Man’s Land: Arguably PS Home’s most ambitious title yet, No Man’s Land offers gamers the most advanced shooter experience the platform has ever seen. The game’s unique cover-based mechanics were designed to take full advantage of the platform’s technology. Players utilize a grid interface to sprint from cover to cover, popping up to take out opponents at every turn. The game offers a traditional “Team Deathmatch” mode, as well as a cooperative mode where salvage must be delivered back to the team’s depots, while fighting to stay alive in the process. (Release Date: Spring 2012)

• Mercia: Developed by Lockwood Publishing, PS Home’s first multiplayer role-playing title transports players into a fantasyl world of treacherous dungeons, magic spells, and a plethora of weapons and enemies. Mercia invites players to traverse a number of enemy-filled dungeons, and for the first time in PS Home’s history, the game continually streams new content, leading to zero load times while playing. Mercia also utilizes a number of RPG mainstays such as crafting, upgrading, and resource management, giving gamers the deepest RPG experience available on the platform. (Release Date: Summer 2012)

Have PlayStation 4 Details Emerged? - PS3 News at IGN

Today, Kotaku posted a story containing alleged details on Sony's next home console, the PlayStation 4. Kotaku claims that the details of the story "come from a reliable source who is not authorized to talk publically about next-gen hardware but has shared correct information with [the publication] before." According to this source, the next PlayStation is codenamed Orbis and will launch in the 2013 holiday season.

Kotaku notes that the predicted specs of the Orbis currently include an AMD x64 CPU and AMD Southern Islands GPU. The source told Kotaku that "select developers" have already received dev kits at the beginning of the year and revised kits arrived around the time of the Game Developers Conference earlier this month.

Furthermore, according to Kotaku's source, Orbis will not feature backwards compatibility with PlayStation 3 games and will incorporate some sort of used-games restriction. Apparently, once a consumer inserts a Blu-ray disc into Orbis it must be tied to a PSN account and can no longer be shared. The data can be installed onto the system and flagged as "downloaded" from the PSN so it can be re-downloaded for future use. Sources are "unclear" as to how the disc functions following this, though one possibility is that the disc can allow consumers to access trial content before purchasing the full game on their console.

No backwards compatibility and possibly only "trials" on used games.....THIS IS BULLSHIT

Damn. Again, it's only a rumor, but if that "trials" thing comes true then it's true the game industry wants to absolutely destroy the used games business. I know for one thing, I probably wouldn't ever step foot in a Gamestop again since I only go there to buy used games and trade in games. And how would that work if you wanted to let a friend borrow a game?

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Arizona Wildcats
If no used games were allowed that would KILL sales IMO

Yep. So as it stands right now if all the big three's next consoles were out, the WiiU would be the only one to allow used games to be played.

The Durango (Xbox 720) won't have a disc drive apparently, so you won't be able the play games.

The Orbis (PS4) will have something built in to block used games to be played.

I was looking around and saw that the PS2 has MLB 2k12.

Apparently, this is the last game to be released for the PS2.

RIP PS2...............(finally)
