Feel like he will be active because odunze will sit. That opens a spot for scott
Could see Scott for Rome

And if healthy....slowschon for vjj
If not healthy....could see them promote someone like Colin Johnson and bench VJJ

The thing that irks me is why is he taking his eye off the ball when the kicking team isn't allowed to release (nor are his blocking teammates) until he fields the ball. It's not like he needs to get a read on any coverage or see the blocking strategy in front of him. All he has to do is catch the ball, then - and only then - go!

I'm ready to move on, from any return duties, for sure, but willing to see if he can be effective as a RB. But it seems his "elite" athleticism is just not an asset given his lack of focus and ball skills.

The fact that he was even returning kicks at all shows a level of incompetence by the coaching staff. Never should have been back there in the first place.

That would make way too much sense.

fml this might be true. Velus can't just be a dude. he finds himself in the middle of every lucky and unlucky break this franchise has.

He could be on the shuttle that lands on Mars, doesn't get off, shuttle crashes and he'll live to tell everyone how the first steps went.

Except that he did have some really nice KO returns last season, showing his speed and ability could be a weapon. But his speed and size combo is not worth the risk if he can't take care of Hightower's #1 priority ~ successfully fielding the damn ball first and foremost!
