if we get a post up big man, we need to trade noah. lee will want big money, an i want no part of it. bosh isn't a post player, i'm pretty comfortable with him. the thing about a post up big man, would be that it would close up lanes even more, especially with little to no 3 pt shooting.

why would you have to trade Noah? He is not a post up player...you NEED someone who can post...I don't believe Shaq and Wade had a problem working together...Rose and Bosh would be fine. Bosh is posting more this year which is why I changed my mind about him. We do not need anymore jumpshooters...that would be asinine to go out and target a guy who hits jumpshots to put in the frontcourt. If that is part of his game (Amare, Bosh) fine. But it is more important to get a post player that can score. Haven't we seen enough jumpshooting power forwards around here?

To be honest I don't see them leaving anything on the table. I think if any of the high value target FAs (ie LeBron, Wade, Bosh) are going to move, it'll have to be a sign and trade. They're not going to give up the extra money you can get from signing with their own team (although they may bluff that they would to force the sign and trade).

So ultimately SOME team having max cap space might be all that's required for them to move (so these players have a legit target to say "trade me or I'll sign with those guys"). Unfortunately in this scenario we have to win over not only the FA, but their team with what we're willing to give back.

I don't think S&T is the hard part. Remember we don't have to give up equal value if a player says sign me or i'm going to chicago. The problem is, why do they come here? If Deng and Noah keep up their play, rose and salmons continue to come back to life and rose steps it up another level, we will get someone good. But we need Rose to make the allstar team and do more of what he did game 1 against boston in the playoffs. Rose pretty much has to look like Chris Paul JR to get Bron or Bosh here.

Unfortunately Rose isn't likely to make the all-star team. If Iverson is voted on he doesn't even have a realistic chance.

And Rose is never going to look like Chris Paul, unless court vision can be taught overnight. Anyway I think Rose is a better prospect with LeBron if he shows he can be an elite scorer, not an elite passer. LeBron doesn't need someone to set him up, or even someone who can set his team mates up, he can already do all that. He needs someone else who can score so he doesn't have to carry the team himself.

I didn't mean the necessarily the court vision. I meant more game management and scoring. Which is what you were eluding to. I'd love to get Bron, you just know your going to be a contender with him.

The fans of the other 29 teams think the same way though, and only one team can have him.

If Rose has more 37 point games I might take back my statement that he has very little chance of being an all-star. He averages 19 PPG now, if he can get it above the 20 mark then maybe the psychological factor of being a 20 PPG scorer will help him too.
