What is up with this guy? It's beginning to get a little ridiculous that he is CONSTANTLY hurt. What's the problem now? I'm getting some Havlat flashbacks...

Havlat had shoulder surgery again in the off season.

Hossa could very well have that vertigo thing still going on.

What the ****? How does one just all of the sudden develop chronic vertigo? Is he an alcoholic or something? The guy looked great the last game he played, and now he's out again. Missed a game, and not practicing. Unreal.

Has me wondering too--maybe latent flu symptoms, maybe it's vertigo, or maybe he just wants to bone his new wife. Whatever it is, let's just be done with it soon and get him back on the ice.

If it is vertigo, real easy whenever you fall, what you hit is the ground, the opposite end is up, now get out there and score.

Vertigo sucks. If its vertigo problems its not cureable so get used to him missing 2out of 5 games. Im amazed he can play at all. I developed vertigo at 30. I have it controlled the best i can but it has its days. Drs dont know why it just developed. Genetics? Too many loud days with ear phones on? A bacteria infection? I have heard theories that flying too much can cause it...not sure if i buy that but could be a triger if its geneticsl i guess. Any guess is a good guess right now.

He missed one game, it is somewhat expected at this point. Also he is so good when he's in the lineup that it tough to get that worked up. The Pens sat Malkin for 2 games just based on the fact that he was sore and more prone to a real injury.

hope it isn't vertigo--shit took out my beloved Hackett a few years too early.

Then again, vertigo did make Arrested Development pretty fucking hysterical

Hossa seemed ready to go for a guy who only had one preseason game. With the death of his friends in Europe and the birth of his first child...was a lot to take in last month. Hopefully he can recover quick from his ailment and get the 2nd line going again like it did the other night.

The hawks looked lost on Saturday against the Bruins

I thought they looked great until the 3rd. Thomas stole one.

...and like you said, except for Crawford, we played like crap in the 3rd. The tying goal we gave up was abysmal, abysmal. We would have won in regulation, otherwise.

Not in the first two periods they didn't.

And the 2nd line wasn't the problem. The 1st line was. Unless JT and Sharp find it, that could happen again.

Hells yeah! Lucille "Two" Austero's vertigo was mined for comedy GOLD on AD. Liza Minnelli was brilliant during those guest spots.

And back to hockey---depending on the severity vertigo can be a better diagnosis than an all-out injury like when Hossa came back after a game last season or worse than an injury because you can never put a timetable on the symptoms receding much like concussion recovery a la how it fucked up Hiller last season. It's one of those "I hate not knowing!" situations.

Man, I hope he doesn't have recurring vertigo. That could end his career if he does. You never know when it's going to hit and when it does you never know how long before it goes away. There's really no good treatments for most types of vertigo either.
