Will Hossa ever score again with an actual goalie in net?

1g in last 24gms

Last goal scored (vs a goalie) was March 30th - 49 days and counting.

Mr.Clutch Playoff Performer -
This year - 0g - 11gms
Last year - 2g - 19gms

In that LA series last year Conf finals - he had 3a and was a -4. (Was a -2 in the 4-3 game 7 loss)

Be careful about criticizing players on da Hawks. Or the superfanballs will have an aneurysm.

Would definitely be nice to see him get on the scoreboard, luckily he continues to play at a high level in all other facets of the game. Personally, I'd like to see Q get away from the Saad/Toews/Hossa line. In my eyes, those are three guys who play very similar styles of game and don't necessarily compliment eachother as you would probably like to see. Sure, they are going to have solid games and point up points because they are three pretty good players...but to me it just doesn't work as much as you would like to see. They don't necessarily elevate their play or the other linemates play with their similar game style but they get by on just being good players.

Pretty immature how you're bagging on Hossa like this.

Great. Hossa backchecks.

Then get his fucking old wrinkled ass off the Power Play. Quit playing him top line minutes.

The whole "he does so much" is the biggest cop out.

He back checks hard. Great. You're supposed to. Nothing special about that. What else does he do? Tape sticks? Grab water bottles?

Doesn't hit
Doesn't block a shot - intentionally
Loves winding up and getting his shots blocked (even though Keith is the only one that gets ragged on for that)

But he hustles....and Foley gets a hard on when he backchecks....so I'm supposed to clap in unison with him

It is odd how he's been usually split point wise between goals and assists and he hasn't really shown up the past two years goal wise in the playoffs

Of course backchecking isn't everything and in theory, it is something everyone should do. However, don't think there is a forward on the team that comes back as hard as Hossa and breaks up as many plays defensively as Hossa does. That is certainly worth something. At his pay grade, I completely understand wanting more and wanting him to get things going on the scoreboard, no disagreeing there.

Toews has final say who plays on his rw. Q has nothing to do with that. Once kesler keeps destroying toews and he gets fed up with Hossa not helping he will demand Kane play on his right side. Kane will save the day yet again. Rinse and repeat.

Just gotta give coach toews some time to make the switch.

Somewhat due to Saad not knowing what to do with the puck that doesnt include taking a low percentage back hand shot. In Hossa defense he doesnt get the puck much from Saad or Toews to get any real shots away. Hes busy a lot of times just watching Saad skate around in circles and toews falling down. Would be nice to actually have a guy that can carry the puck and control the play on the top line. But again until coach Toews says hes ready for Kane we get a shut down first line and not an offensive first line.

This has always been the knock on Hossa though, hasn't it? That he disappears in the playoffs?

2010 playoffs: 22 games, 3 goals
2011 playoffs: 7 games, 2 goals
2012 playoffs: 3 games, 0 goals, also died
2013 playoffs: 22 games, 7 goals
2013 playoffs: 19 games, 2 goals

There are some double-digit assist totals mixed in those numbers that make his point total look better, but he's never been a big postseason goal-scorer in Chicago.

I can't think of a good answer to this question, so I'll ask you: who would you put as Hossa's linemates?
