When all else fails, get yourself a backpack-sized unlicensed nuclear accellerator. That usually does the trick.

My wife's family is big on this kind of stuff. They mistake lens flares, reflections-- then say that these imperfections are ghosts, or "spirit orbs." No, it's you're overactive imagination.
I also live in an old home (built in 1892), so I have to deal with a certain portion of my friends that think that my home has spirits in it or that someone at some point in time must've died within the residence with no backing on proof. It's just an old home and you're delusional.

My old neighbors did the St. Joseph statue 3 times. After they wasted their money on the third one, the house finally sold a week later. I guess the first two statues weren't good enough.

Yes. Very much looks like the Munch painting.

I've had more than my share of weirdness that I won't go into, so we'll say for the moment I'm not the atheist/agnostic I like to believe I am. And Halloween is coming, and it's the BEST holiday of the year, so this thread gets me in the spirit of things. Seems like you have:

1) Stirred up a deceased previous tenant. That would explain the anger over changing the house.
2) Evoked something else. Agreed a name would be useful. Would give us an idea of which little trouble maker you've got. Assuming they used a name that is, and didn't just grab some random demon. The latter could be real problem.
3) Did they give it a purpose? Other than "go to April's house?"

Making it clear they are not welcome and need to leave is the easiest solution. While in the house, recite the following words EXACTLY, in a loud tone of voice:
"Klaatu barada nikto"

Or just the standard "***** you ain't paying rent, gtfo of mah house"

I forgot to answer you, sorry. As far as I know they only said "go to April's house" and nothing else...or so my niece says. Also, she doesn't remember the books she used to figuring out which demon it was is nearly impossible.

I've lived in a haunted house for YEARS... and I can confirm ghosts don't exist.

Stop being a puss.

Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, Sovereign LORD, have spoken, and with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed forever."
