if it bothers you and your kid, I think you should say something. If it doesn't bother your kid, I'd just leave it. If he can handle it, I wouldn't say anything until it starts to bother him
I ran into coach like that over the weekend in a soccer tournament. Guy yelled at his players, and refs. I watched that team quit against my younger team. The players looked completely lost when they were getting belittled. My boys saw it and ramped up the physical play. Coaches like that think yelling and screaming will make kids play harder, but kids will shut down tune ya out.
Agree. See it all the time in coaching. Hell I saw a coach in basketball in a 8-9 yr old division get thrown out of a game. That should never happen.Shocking, right?
When you lead kids or adults, they respond better to actual leadership as opposed to hostile tirades screamed at them by a man-child.
Not to say you can't be tough on people, but there is a way to do it that motivates people to get better rather than shut down.
