How bad (or good) do think the Bears will be this year?

Honestly if they're not going to compete, I would rather 1-15 than 8-8 this year. I want the best QB in the 2016 draft and I don't care what has to happen in 2015 to get it.

I understand this is what would be best for the long term but it would be so painful to watch. Suck for Luck has worked out pretty good for the Colts.

I just dont have it in me to root for a loss.

Yeah I know. I won't actively root for losses when the games are on because I'm too much of a meatball and will get caught up in it, but if it was a thing where I could make a deal right now that we go 1-15 and are guaranteed a top franchise QB, I would have to do it. Been through so much disappointment as a Bears fan I think I could manage one more year.

I'm not sure why it's so hard for some to comprehend this team being 8-8 or better this year.

Top 5-7 offensive & defensive coach.
On paper this team is better than last year.
Much better overall coaching staff.

Are just 3 solid reasons why there's little chance things will be even close to as bad as last year.

Most underestimate just how much poor coaching, leadership and a bad mix of players had on a team that was a projected SB contender.

Before anyone comes back with "Cutler sucks", just remember, if you go to Denny's expecting 5 star quality food, you're going to be disappointed and your the only one to blame. He's a middle of the road QB. With a coach that doesn't consistently put him in positions to throw 40 plus times a game, he can at least be a game manager with a good arm.

I think we will be somewhere around 6-10 to 8-8 our offense will be 15 -20 but the defense will be 10-15.fangio will make the d work the offense will struggle as long as cutler is being cutler, how ever if cutler has a break out we will be in the playoff imo

What if you took that deal, the bears draft #1 overall and the QB ends up playing exactly like Cutler after initially showing so much promise?

Or what if we got the modern equivalent of Butkus with that pick instead?

5 or 6 wins for the Bears this year.

Bears need another full off-season before they can make a push. Get some big contracts off the books next season and another draft could put us back above .500.

Hell watch them shock us all and go full badass and make a deep playoff run. I think its unlikely but take into account no one really has any tape on this new bears team afterall and there looks to be some serious wholesale changes gameplan wise and they could catch half the league by supprise

but there is no such guarantee of getting a true "franchise QB" even if we do go 1 - 15

28th or 29th is crazy.
Maybe the people projecting that assume growing pains with a change of defensive scheme... But they forget that the Bears could not possibly get much worse than last year no matter what the scheme.
I expect last in the division with 5 or 6 wins, maybe just above the bottom 8 teams.
8 or 9th pick in 2016.

I am going into this season without any expectations. I will hope for a win every week. Hoping for a worst to first type season, but have my doubts.

Bodies dont equal depth.

Slaussen and lLOng our terrific. Our tackles are below avergae and we have a rookie center and a back up center. That's a below average line

No it isn't lol
