How bad (or good) do think the Bears will be this year?

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Illinois Fighting Illini
5 wins because the Bears D was historically bad. Will take another draft and offseason to make the team competitive again. The Bears can get rid of bad contracts like Allen, Jennings, and maybe cutlers.

and he will start this season as well keep hating personally im gonna enjoy watching cutler who is by far the best qb any of us has ever seen in a bears uni. you should relax and stop wishing he was more than he is spend less time hating on him and enjoy him while we have him. after all I hope it isn't but odds are we will go through several worse ones before we even find a qb equal to cutler

I have us at 6-10. Wins over Minny, Oakland, TB, Washington, 9ers and Rams.

10-6, a chance at 11-5. On the high-motor, unexpected response by players to mediocre coaching. First round bye, Cutler throws 4 ints and fumbles in the NFCCG for his finale as a Bear.

Sounds about right, the only part that is confusing to me is how the hell do we get rid of Cutler at the end of the season?

I've looked at several season previews and several 2016 Mocks already, and a lot of people have the Bears pick 3-5 in the draft next year and have us as the 29th or 28th best team next year. There were teams like the Jags, Jets, and 49ers ranked ahead of them. Do you guys think the Bears will really be that bad this year? I honestly think we have a decent team, but I'm also always an optimist in this part of the year.
Meh... ESPN analyst Todd McShay selected the Bears as the most improved team in the NFC North.

First of all, Fox took over a 1-15 carolina team & went to the SB the 2nd yr. Then took over a 4-12 Broncos team, immediately winning 4 straight Division Championships, 38-10 record last 3 reg seasons, including another SB appearance. Not mediocre in most books.

Fox, Gase & Fangio are top coaches in their fields. We hit the jackpot there.

This yrs Bears have some top talent, especially the rec corp (Jeffery, White, Royal, Forte, Bennett), and plenty of weak & avg areas too. But all-in-all I think there's enough talent for Fox to craft a winning season.

On the wide-side I'd say 7-9 to 11-5. My best guess this early is 9-7 in a very hotly contested division.

How good or bad will our Bears be? Well, there is Jay Cutler, and then there is the issue with J. Cutler. You know the last I checked Cutler was our QB so there's that. And of course Cutler is the Quarterback, but we may have fixed the O line to protect Mr. Cutler so there is that positive. Did I mention Jay Cutler, it bears watching.

Seriously, what is going on with the Tyler Lockett love? Is this supposed to be ironic, or do y'all really think this guy is worth a crap? This guy is going to get murdered in the NFL, he is built like a woman. Any physical DB will totally own this guy, and if for some reason he can beat the press he is too damn slow to pull away.

As a kick returner he will get blown up in his first year and retire with a lacerated spleen.

Oh, plus he knows this as evidenced by how he can't catch in traffic.

This has to be a joke, right? His ceiling is a kick returner, his floor is a corpse.

To keep it OT, I don't care how many games the Bears win, I will watch anyway. It's all about 2016-2017 anyway.

Sub .500 mainly because so many things are changing at once and Fox is taking the time to lay the foundation for future success. Next year they will have a better idea what they need and will be able to continue to purge more ugly contracts (Allen and Cutler).

This is the least optimistic I've felt about the team since before our last Super Bowl appearance. I don't pay enough attention to other team's offseasons to say where we rank exactly.

i don't know how you all (or the experts) think after the FA work, the new coaches/GM, and the draft we're going to be WORSE than last year? WTF?

• FA acquisitions should plug some holes, maybe even upgrade
• new 3-4 def with coaches that are much better
• lose marshall, but gain white and royal = about equal or slight drop?
• cutler gonna cutler
• draft picks will help at WR, DT, OL and maybe DB

i can't see us being 4-12 (that would be WORSE than our 5-11 last year).
i think we're at least 6-10 up to 8-8 with a 9-7/10-6 being some sort of gift

i don't see us drafting 1-5. more like 10-16.

but yes, we'll probably draft a qb in the 1st.

Anybody who believes that, either has a serious drug problem, or is just plain stupid.

6-10ish.

i agree i wish they'd go worse and secure higher picks for 2016, but 6-10 is where I think they'll be.

It all depends on health, avoiding a rough start, and #6 pulling his head at least somewhat out of his posterior region. 5-11 at worst, 11-5 if we play great and some of our opponents in the 2nd half are a little dinged up. I'll say 8-8.

Theres nothing to enjoy and every reason to wish we didnt have him. Being the best(long term) QB in recent Bears history is still not a positive, regardless of how often its stated.
