How did you get into posting on forums?

I found that website while in college and it was my first message board. Good group of guys, just a small number and they did nothing to increase the traffic. Goofed off on the CBMB and found CCS when the CBMB was demolished.

CBMB was my first. My hate for Omeletpants at that time brought me back because I was convinced he bled gangrene and the yellow/green of eggs on his pants was a sign.

Eventually I learned to love him, and realized he fulfilled needs within me that it was toxic to contain. I eased up and let him do his thing, realizing he may not even be a troll, just a really weird dude.

Hmm..I think I first got into message boards when I was a Medal of Honor: Allied Assault addict....I think PSD was my first real sports forum I belonged to though. After PSD I came here... pretty simple story.

Same here. I used my 1200 baud modem to call various BBS's around the country using "phreak" codes with my Commodore 64. But if you're talking today's Internet, I think I first started posting on some sports handicapping sites.

I was in early high school late Jr high. It was 1999. I found CBMB in all its glory. I was FredTaylorHB, then David Terrell, then Sexy Rexy, and finally Bearin' Down. Anyway, been hooked since. Although the average iq on that board was a paltry 150

I lurked on the CBMB, I really didn't start up until it got closed down and we moved here. I had a lot of free time at work and so I would spend the majority of it, on here posting and reading. But now with work as it is I barely have the time anymore.

But my biggest influence for posting was probably Panda.

I eventually joined the official boards in 2004 during the lockout. Other than hockey boards (wirtzsucks, BHZ, Stuy's SHIT boards/300 level), I post on a Valiant Comics board, albeit it's infrequent.
We moved to Rink Talk in 2007, which eventually turned into IHN.
2014 IHN was absorbed into CCS.
