Yes you pointed to the fact it's not a JV team nice work. The student run club you just linked to has nothing to do with the athletic department or the varsity team. Why did you lie about that?
I pointed to the fact JV and Club Football teams played in the same league. It is the same level of competition.

It is your position that a team has to be funded by the Atheltic Department to be considered JV. You are using that belief that I do not share to call me a liar. I never made such a claim. I said I played JV because in college football most schools transitioned their JV squads to Club Football once the NCAA allowed freshmen to play.

Your idea of JV exists in basketball due to smaller rosters.

We don't know that. If it was padded ball, it likely had support and with the climate change about contact sports, I can understand if that program has been discontinued since Remy was a kid. I think the bigger issue is why call him on something relatively insignificant? Saying you played some organized lower level college ball for a season or so isn't a brag.

It is one 100% full contact. The dude lied calling it flag football because he has an axe to grind.

This league had Ohio State, MSU, Michicgan and Pitt in it. He simply doesnt understand that in college football, most big universities transitioned from JV teams funded by the Uni to student run Club Football once the NCAA allowed true freshmen to play.

It was by no means a brag. @run and shoot in one of his inane rants went on and on about how he understands the game better because he played HS ball. I refuted his points and then added as a PS (ie not the main point) that I played JV and that he shouldnt assume he knows my football background. He then decided to go call UNC to try and confirm and as I also was arguing with @dbldrew in the same thread he jumped in.

Doubt he'll ever get sharp.

It's not my opinion that it's not part of the athletic department it's UNCs that said that.. your link you provided shows that they are part of NCFA which is a student run organization

You said you almost made Varsity for that to happen it would have to be a real JV team, or a "JV like Club" that is part of the NCAA, UNC club is not part of the NCAA..

Why are you continuing this lie?

All you have to do is just stop this nonsense of pretending it's something that it isn't

I posted about a College flag teams as an example of the line being gray and not the team he was on. It wasn't proof of anything either way but supported the supposition of the rest of my post. Not the sport/team Remy attended. I pulled the link before I saw a response because I suspected it might confuse. Congrats.
I'm not saying you provide proof, Remy provided proof that his argument was a lie.. that's the thing that's so dumb with Remys argument here.

Yes, Remy stretched the truth. Fine point it out, he can be factually challenged at times, but your pages long obsession with it is wholly pathetic.
All I did in the beginning was to poke fun at him for "almost going pro playing flag football" to make fun of his lie he told months ago and tried repeating here.

Should of ended with him taking his lumps for his lie and that would be that..

But he is still trying to push his lie as truth and quoting me, so I'm going to reply.. if you want to go after someone for a "long obsession" maybe you should direct it at the fraudster for still attempting it

The NCAA repealed this limitation in 1972;[7] to the extent that junior varsity teams exist at the college level, many are classified as club squads.

Your opinion is that in order to say it is JV requires it being funded by the athletic department. I don't share that opinion and already provided evidence that JV teams are classified as Club squads at the college level. So you are using your opinion of what JV is to claim I lied. I never said it was funded by the school. I said it was JV because people use JV/Club Football interchangeably ever since the NCAA allowed true freshmen play. No one harps on whether the JV/Club team is funded by the school or not.

2nd, for someome to make Varsity does not require they play JV/Club. Again that was moreso the progression when freshmen were barred from playing by the NCAA until 1972. So again that is a faulty assumption on your part. Any college eligible student can try out for Varsity. There is no requirement to go thru a JV/Club program.

What I was articulating is that given my situation ie I was from The Bahamas and a complete unknown (no tape, no foundation in X's and O's) I was told to play club to gain that foundation and try out for varsity again the following year. I played Rugby so coaches liked my hitting and given my size and speed suggested I play S in Club. I got a handle on the X's and O's of playing S fairly easily and was around a 4.65 40 before I injured my knee. So my saying I missed out on Varsity had nothing to do with there being some clearly mandated progression from JV to Varsity. It had to do with the fact I was on track to hit the targets I was given before I got injured. The injury meant I would have to rehab my entire Sophmore year and wait until my Junior year to try out again for Varsity and it wasnt worth it to me as I did not have Rudy's passion.

Edit - The other issue for anyone other than @dbldrew reading this is the team starts practicing late Spring/early Summer for the following season. Most guys from the US trying to walk on get on campus by then so they can go thru a full try out process. Since I had no clue about any of this comibg from The Bahamas by the time I arrived on campus by early August that process was near completion. So I wasnt there for the full tryout process hence why they told me to try and get some Club experience and come back next year.

Why is this ret@rd still harassing @remydat about playing intramural football in college. It's fun, who cares

To be fair it is mostly my fault. In responding to this thread I referenced that some CCS posters got upset about my saying I played JV. I wanted to prempt them jumping in and rehashing the argument. Then @Gustavus Adolphus asked why some people were up in arms over this and I linked to the thread and tagged @run and shoot and @dbldrew. @dbldrew then took that as a opening to come crying about this all over again.
