Control Chris Bosh and force Wade and James to get the bulk of their shots from the perimeter and I like the Bulls' chances. The other key is limiting turnovers and that is not going to be easy. I believe the Heat are going to run traps at the top of the key for Rose and force the Bulls into long jumpers early in the shot-clock. The Bulls need to remain posed in their half-court offense.

If you hold Miami's 'big three' to under 65 points per game, you definitely win the series.

How do the Bulls win the series? match ups.

I think the Bulls win the series because we have excellent match ups offensively and defensively.

Typically most series are won with matchups. The only time it doesnt really happen is when a team all of a sudden has chemistry issues (See 04 Lakers and this year Lakers). That's why in some years we see things happen like this years Grizzlies beating the Spurs, the 07 Warriors beating the Mavericks, us sweeping the Miami Heat in 2007. Those teams have the other teams number. That's why this "throw the regular season out" bullshit is usually just that...bullshit. Unless a team has made a trade disrupting a key strength (Boston), the regular season is a pretty good indicator of what's going to happen in the playoffs. While its not always true, I would have to say it happens the majority of the time. Even if the Grizzlies lose to the Thunder, they beat the Thunder 3-1 in the regular season, and have now taken the Thunder to 7 games, when no one expected them to do much of anything against the Thunder.

My opinion is we are matched up fairly closely with Miami and that is evident by how close every game was in the regular season. Yes we came out ahead in each other those games, but a couple of bounces another direction and we could have lost any of them. That's why this very well could be a 7 game series that comes down to the wire.

In most cases...you throw the regular season out...

case in point...1992-1993 season, the Bulls lost 3 of 4 against New York...many had New York winning that series, their domination of the Bulls was a part of the reasoning. Knicks would lose the series 4-2 to the Bulls. It was a tight series but it was a win for the Bulls.

Last year the Magic won 3 of 4 against the Celtics...the Celtics would win the playoff against them though.

Throw the regular season out...tomorrow is a new ballgame...

another good indication of how teams will fare in the playoffs is injuries and the record teams have in last 20 games or so going into the playoffs....

FWIW, I looked up the second half scoring for the 3 Heat games this year. This is how many points Miami scored during the second halves of gamse against the Bulls:

Game 1: 43
Game 2: 36
Game 3: 37

So basically, theyve averaged 38 ppg in the second halves against us. This kind of tells me that the big 3 havent been able to assert themselves more as the game went along. It was the opposite. In both of the games, it was Chicago's defense that asserted its will in the second halves when the games were decided.

Also, Ive heard the point made about the small margin of victory in the regular season games. During that second game, I can remember Miami getting some fast breaks and going up by 10+ early only to see the Bulls tighten it up on turnovers and defense and slowly reel in the Heat.

So, while people want to look at margin of victory as the defining data, there is also data to suggest that the Bulls would have won by a lot more had they played a clean game.

Thats another reason I am so confident, our defense. Defense is really under-appreciated in the NBA and the Big 3 wont just cruise along.

First, the bulls must outrebound the heat. In the regualr season the bulls outrebounded the heat by an avg of 11 per game

Second, minimize turnovers. The heat are an opportunistic team. Better yet front runners. The bulls can't let them build a lather by giving them highlight reel type dunks off of steals and bad passes.

Third, keep wade honest. Bogans must make wade pay if he comes off to double rose. I know that alot to ask since bogans hasn't really shot well.

Fourth, rose must play wade to a stand still. Mainly by staying agressive and not settling for bad 3s.

Fitth, deng must hold his own vs james. He's obviously not gonna outplay james. But he must make his presence known

If the bulls do this, they will win the series

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Bulls beat the Heat by giving the Heat team ice cream to cool off, and blowing fans and running the air conditioning at full blast. Hell, get the ice back up at the UC. That's how you beat the Heat.

have to guard their perimeter play, when they go inside to the paint, have to watch the dishes outside to Chalmers. When hes open he can hit em.

THE BENCH! I think our depth has to be a MAJOR FACTOR, Korver, Brewer, Watson, Gibson, Asik, if that second unit play STRONG then I think we can win this series

also we need Rose to play like he did in that last game against the Hawks when he was looking for his teammates more instead of just trying to do everything by himself because Miami is going to do what ever it takes to try and take him out of this series, I expect a lot of Traps and LeBron will jump out and try to Guard him also

2 words: defensive buzzsaw

I think its a little ironic that the Heat were so elated about getting past the Celtics because of their recent struggles against them only to run into a possibly bigger buzzsaw in the Bulls' defense.

This is what is known as a trend.

The bulls know the formula to beat the heat. They just have to play consistently.
