For a small school prospect, Bilal saw that play develop from the get-go.

Heard him in Bears Access the other day. Said Hicks has taken him under his belt and they study film together. Great to see veterans who give a shit.

What? That sounds weird, not that there is anything wrong with that.

He has a large waist, what did you expect. Keeps the arms free to mingle.

He may be the real deal but we need a new RT and offensive line depth before we end up like Seahawks and Giants.

Notice that Mitch's mechanics in the week 1-3 miss vs the week 4 hit to Gabriel are identical. It bothered me that this is what folks were pointing at for those misses. He looks to see it or go to it a hair later and just seemed too pumped up in the week 1-3 take. He's beginning to look more relaxed, in sync and that's a huge deal. These are his mechanics and his feet are better than ever. It's about timing, confidence and familiarity. The rest will be whether he's actually got the chops or not.

This is something I've touched on a few times. When he sails passes, it seems to be early in games. Is that a nerves thing?

Well Adi you're one of the few people along with me that actually have an appreciation for Kyle Fuller and the fact he has a linebacker's and safety's hitter/tackler mentality. People REALLY don't notice how rare of a trait that is for a cornerback.

Yes, he got his groove back magically. Just a couple of weeks ago we had footwork and QB mechanics experts saying Mitch had irreparably bad mechanics - something that couldn't be fixed because he had never been taught correctly.

Not making up excuses. But that 2nd Gabriel cross that Trubisky hit, Gabriel ran a much deeper route. Looks like Gabriel shallowed the route the first time, not Mitch over throwing him.

I thought this too.

I saw the same thing. So did Mitch throw to the receiver or the spot the first time around? Looks to me he threw to the spot that Gabriel was supposed to be at but shallowed his route like you said and that’s why it looked as if Trubiskys accuracy on the play was suspect.

I goofed on a couple of gifs. Here is Fangio sending Trevathan to move the RB amd get Mack a 1 on 1 off the edge...

And here is the duplicated 3 TE set in the 3rd quarter with Cohen in place of Howard...

Look at Massie being a man in that 2nd gif. People give him too much shit. Feels like he has become a better RT each year with us.

To get something back, you need to have it in the first place.

On the pass to Cohen in the third Mitch looks off the safeties & comes back to Cohen on the sideline, Mitch had ALLDAY to throw mad props to the oline including Massie...
