Pace made genius moves this offseason. We have Andy Dalton. Andy "Red Rifle" Dalton. And he got rid of that bum, Fuller.
Amazing this dolt still has a job. Any other NFL ownership / front office with a hint of pride would have shown Pace the door with extreme prejudice.
Pace has made some bad moves, but he's made some good ones too. Jackson, Mack, Smith, Mooney, Nichols, Johnson, etc.
NY Post did an article rating how well every team has drafted over the last 5 years. Bears, with Pace at the helm the whole time, came in at #6, despite the Trubisky flop and Kevin White disaster. Top of the list were the Ravens, Chiefs, Saints, and the Raiders were in the cellar. Rankings were done by calculating the number of pro bowl players, all-pro players, playing time, and other factors.

Five-year NFL Draft analysis: Ravens, Chiefs, Saints continue to nail it
This looks to me like an objective observer ranking the teams. Sure, would love to draft like the Chiefs. Maybe we should grab their OC as our head coach to help with our draft evaluations. Wait, we already did. Nagy nailed the evaluations of Trubisky, Mahomes, and Watson in 2017. Too bad he gave that info to his then boss, Chiefs GM John Dorsey, instead of to Ryan Pace.
Every GM has misses. Ozzie Newsome was considered a top shelf GM, and he said that he hoped to have half of his draft picks work out. It's kind of like batting in baseball. Get one hit in three at bats, and you're a top hitter.
We know Pace isn't getting fired before this year's draft. All we can hope for is that he makes good decisions. And we won't know that answer for a few years. John Dorsey, the GM that traded up to get Mahomes, was fired later that offseason. Ironic, huh.
