An update on our friend and colleague Hub Arkush, who suffered a medical emergency last month while leaving Halas Hall following his coverage of Chicago Bears training camp.

Well I hope Herbert is literally on the mend and has at least a few years left in the tank to see the Bears acturally win another superbowl in his life because that would be a pitifully sad and unfortunate life to spend your whole entire life as a career following and reporting about a team that has only been good a couple of times but I guess he does what he loves for a living but if you ask me being a reporter for your whole life for a loser team sort of kinda makes you a loser I mean are you kidding me? Be a Patriots reporter for ****s sake if you have nothing else your good at besides talking about a football team.

Remember when we spoke about him after our conference call during the the big acquisition in Singapore? We joked about him possibly keeling over but didn’t mean for it to be another one of your #CALLEDITs.

Hub seems like a nice guy but he really has lost all sense in recent years. I hope he retires and focuses on his family. Let one of those creepy little boys who works for him take over Shaw media.

A lot of people on this board did not like him one bit for his football stupid.

I agree, it's nice not having to hear from him.

Hopefully he recovers and just retires. I always thought he was terrible at what he did. Grimson didn't wish him ill, just said basically its refreshing not to hear from him.

Kind of like how les seemed like a good guy, but his overnight show was like listening to nails on a chalkboard.

Hub still in the ICU. He needs a surgery and it keeps getting pushed. He's noted to still be "in a haze" but did get to watch the Bears this weekend. Probably won't get out until the unspecified surgery happens. It was also noted that Hub wouldn't be here without "heroism" which I've seen on Twitter was that someone gave him CPR. The last part isn't confirmed, but all the rest is from Arthur Arkush on 670 this afternoon.

Sounds like a stroke or maybe lack of 02 from a heart attack but just a guess. Been in ICU for a full month now.
