Thats an issue. I'll give Kane somewhat of a pass for being near the top of the league in scoring and carrying the O for the bulk of the season thus far, but I think Toews and Hossa need a cattle prod of the pooper to get them going.

Just don't know if they can make additions like trading for Vermette and calling up Teuvo this season. Those were a huge help. And the defensive depth continues to be a problem.

Yes I'm not saying we are going to win another cup (I honestly do not expect this season, even if a b2b would be amazing), but in the last seasons Blackhawks improved a lot in the post season (2014 and 2015 compared to their regular seasons). Only in 2013 the Hawks had an amazing regular season.
For sure adding pieces like Vermette this year may be much more difficult, only if someone will take Bickell (or he will finish in the LTIR) we may have some space in the cap. We have to wait and see, but I'm confident in a good playoff run
