As we learned last year, and something we have always really known is the regular season doesnt really matter. Obviously losing Derrick is big but we picked up a very impressive replacement in Teague, and Kirk adds an excellent veteran presence. Also Derrick will return wayyyy before the playoffs start so I think he has the chance to be almost fully healthy for a playoff run. Am I saying that the Bulls are going to win the title? No. But it can still be a very exciting season and we could still make a very nice run I believe.

I rather watch them go 27-55 than get bounced in the 2nd round.

Even if the Bulls were to tank next season, the 2013 draft is weak

I'll watch. I'll just pretend they're the 2006 Bulls...then anything positive will be a bonus.

We're still the same team from last year. We're getting better and we're still contenders. With vengeful Rose coming back, we'll be unstoppable.
1. This team is not the same w/o Derrick Rose
2. The team is getting worse, not better
3. No guarantee Rose comes back this season IMHO

The problem is that people will think as long as the Bulls tread water during the regular season, then they can get Derrick Rose back for the playoffs and make their run. One, no one can say with certainty that Rose will even be back in time for the playoffs. Two, he will be incredibly rusty and not near 100%. Three, the Bulls team itself will have to adjust to Rose's presence and change their style of play.

I think this super-optimistic outlook by y'all is counterproductive, because not only is it completely unrealistic, it also puts too much burden on Rose. If Rose listens to the fans, then he will probably re-injure himself by coming back too early and trying to do too much.

Also, by that point in the year there will be likely 3 teams in the East better than Chicago anyways.

I'm not sure what kind of "run" fans here think the Bulls can make in an Eastern Conference that should be pretty stacked at the top this year with teams like Miami, Brooklyn, Indiana, New York, and perhaps even Boston staying strong.

I agree. It's also a very real possibility that he won't be and might not ever be the same explosive player he once was. Coming off a knee, he'd have to be crazy to drive the paint like he used to...it might come back for him later on but I'm guessing we'll be seeing more jump shots than drives whenever he gets back next season.

No doubt. That would be a disaster....pains me to think of that scenario.

I will be honest, I love my Bulls...but I am not excited about this current team AT ALL! Especially without Rose...who in the hell is going to score points? None of them can take over a game, none of them are Clutch, we lost Depth, we don't have a damn Back Up Center for Noah at the moment, still don't have a SG

lets hope guys asking price will come down and they will get desperate and start settling for 1 Year Cheaper Deals! but at the moment it is not looking good IMO and I am not depending on Rose for THIS SEASON and it would be FOOLISH to try and rush him back, probably shouldn't even try to play him this season just to make sure that Knee is 100%
