No deng is a system player he's used to moving through off ball screens and cutting to the basket like they do at duke. *** is a player who wants the ball in his hands. That takes away from rose. He would be like salmons. Salmons stagnates the offense because he thinks about it and does his own thing despite the offense. That's what *** will do compared to deng

Salmons looked pretty damn good hogging the ball when he was shooting well...........

oh absolutely but that's because he's playing with brandon jennings and andrew bogut. first of all he's drawing the third best defender. second jennings is a jump shooter mostly so they don't take up the same place and they can space the floor. same with BG, he spaced the floor a lot for him to drive.

1. How would the floor not be spaced if you had *** on the floor with: Rose, Hinrich, Deng, and Boozer? Are quite a few other combos.

2. LOL at listing Bogut and saying Salmons was facing the teams 3rd best defender. I can't think of a time when a center left the game and the opposing post defender started defending the other teams shooting guard.

If we miss out on a Big Free Agent...we are still stuck in Basketball hell.

I wouldnt go that far. If we strike out on the big named FAs we still have plenty of money to overpay the 2nd tier guys to add to our already playoff team. LeBron, Bosh, Wade, Boozer, Amare, Johnson... No way we dont come out with at least one of them.

see that lineup first of all is probably not possible because of contracts that will be demanded. second of all who do you want guarding dwight in that lineup, deng or boozer? noah will be on the floor. third, you guys think that the floor will be adequately spaced with that? combined that lineup shoots 218-625 or 34.8% from three point land. that's not adequately spaced. take out hinrich who would be the one on the bench in that scenario and they shoot 114-345 or 33%. that's :turrible:

Actually *** and Boozer has been a pretty commonly reported "2nd option" for the Bulls if they miss out on max guys.

Maybe have Noah on the floor to guard Dwight?..Hence the "other combos" referenced......Ever consider that?

third, you guys think that the floor will be adequately spaced with that?
Isn't that what we said? Then again with another slasher on the wing it would perhaps open more shots for other guys...thus improving their percentage.

Oh really..what's the scenario then? Who are the Bulls playing? What's the score, foul, clock, etc situation?

Derrick rose creates WIDE open shots for his teammates. They just don't have the ability to make the shots.

The scenario is that Rudy *** and Carlos boozer are on our team because we're not starting hinrich.

We would probably not be able to sign both. Boozer would ask for 13-14 million. The rest isn't enough to pry *** away.

Tremendous "scenario". Great explanation

Doubtful Boozer get anything close to that considering what the top tier guys will get.

Teams that fail to lure Wade, LeBron, Bosh, Amare, etc to their teams will end up giving Boozer that kind of money. I just think theres too many teams with money to spend for him not too. Desperation will be shown in 2nd tier contracts come july

The scenario that they'll both be on our team. Any scenario that our starters are on the floor. I don't think I can make it any simple for you.

Actually because of how much cap room all these teams have have, boozer and *** will both be ridiculously overpaid. There are like 8 teams with max cap room and 3 legitimate max free agents. Obviously they're going to get into bidding wars over the second and third tiers.

I think something in between will happen.

You will have guys fall into theirs like you say. You will have Bron, Wade, Bosh, Amare in the first tier.

Then drop down and you could see guys like Dirk, R. Allen, Boozer, J. Johnson, in the second tier. I mean it's possible *** ends up being a bottom on 2nd tier guy or even a third tier free agent. His contract will be really dependent on what Johnson and Allen get. Boozer's will scale down based on what guys like Bosh, Amare, and Dirk get.

While there will be a lot of teams with money to spend I don't think they will go as wild on Boozer as some expect. Teams that miss out on the top tier guys IMO will go after trying to sign two 2nd tier players or one of them and another solid free agent. They won't just dump a shit ton of money into Boozer because they can based on the fact that they missed out on a tier 1 player. If you miss on one of the big name guys you have to be able to stock pile a few free agents to make up for the miss. Throwing money like that at Boozer defeats the purpose IMO.

That can happen too and it is the smarter route to go. IDK though, i just think teams are stupid enough to do it, the Bulls being one of them and i wouldnt be mad at them.

All it will take is Cuban offering Dirk somethig insane like a 75 million dollar extension after July 1 if Dirk opts to take his player option and stay in Dallas.

Think about teams with near max cap room. They're going to overbid HEAVILY for the second tier to show their fans that they're willing to do something. For example I don't think new York will get a first tier. I think they'll probably overpay heavily because they've been hyping for years. What I see happening is getting Joe Johnson and boozer on near max deals. They clearly don't deserve those contracts but they'll get into bidding wars with the nets clippers and wizards to name a few.

One other point, Ray Allen is not getting a big deal. He's in his mid thirties, he hasn't really played that well in a while and he's only gonna get older and worse. I see him getting a short term contract in the 6-8 million dollar range, maybe 3 years.

Basically you won't be able to stockpile because they'll go where they can get the most money.

So if we dont get a Super Star, Your content with a 2nd tier guy? That is just a role player. That's Basketball hell.

Just ask the Atlanta Hawks, or Utah Jazz, or Denver Nuggets, or Miami Heat.
