If Lebron comes to Chicago, what does your ideal roster look like?

Just curious to see how people want to see the roster shape up should Lebron become a Bull.

I would go something like this:
PG Rose
SG Allen
SF James
PF Bosh
C Noah

Broussard said Cleveland wont do a sign and trade so based on that, Id sign him. Then Id give Toronto Hinrich and Deng in a S&T for Bosh. That would make (21+9+11-16.8-16.8) 7.4. Im guessing we could sign Ray for that.

Well that would make an amazing squad that would win a 8peat, baring health. But lets be honest, that is ridiculous and would never happen. Bosh wouldnt play with James because he feels like he needs to be the best player on the team. He would arguably take a backseat to Rose as well if he continues to progress. I can see Allen signing though.

PG Rose
SG Henry(draft)
SF James
PF Gibson
C Noah

Thats my ideal starting roster because i think getting the best player in the world is good enough and i think drafting Henry would be amazing. Now, i have no idea about what happens to Deng is we get LeBron. I know LeBron could play the 2 or even the 4 but i would keep him in his natural 4 spot. Deng on the other hand wouldnt fit in anywhere but SF and he makes way too much to be on the bench and i dont see any team taking that contract. BUT depending on how FA goes, there might be a team desperate enough to take him and his contract but we might have to get another overpaid player in return. Maybe a backup C? All i know is, if you get James, solid bench vets will come with for the low low.

Looks good, although I don't think we will go after Allen if we get James and Bosh. There just won't be a need, we already have the best team and will probably challenge for the best record in the history of the NBA with Rose, Noah, James, and Bosh. I almost want to puke that's so sick!!!!!!!

You guys gotta be realistic here. No team is going to give away their superstar in a sign and trade and get back a couple of overpaid scrubs. They know they'd be doing you a favor, and since you're taking away their superstar anyway, they'd rather you carry the financial burden of your scrubs rather than take them off your hands. A sign and trade ain't happening.

The best case scenario is we sign LeBron James. If we get him, that's all we're getting. Forget anything else. We have to fill up our roster and we can't afford any other big names except maybe to pay Ray Allen the veteran minimum which he wouldn't go for.

And if we don't sign LeBron James, then be happy if we can get one of Bosh/Amar'e/Boozer in that order. Joe Johnson shouldn't really be a serious option at this point. Bottom line....the mission is to get one big name, and if it's not LeBron, it's only ONE of those 3 big men. And that's all.

As long as Joakim, Rose and Bron Bron are in the line up, that's all I need to know.

If all we get is Boozer this off season, I'm gonna kill someone.

Toronto would be cutting off their nose to spite their face. And its not like free agents typically line up to go to Toronto and so theyre perpetually in a place of overpaying. So, I dont think Dengs contract is THAT out of line with what they might have to pay someone comparable in FA anyway.

I can see them not wanting Hinrich since they have Calderon and Jack though.

The Bulls HAVE to trade Hinrich. I'm sure LA will be calling, especially after Westbrook and DWill gave Fish fits in the playoffs. Plus, Paul will be healthy, and Curry (I'm sure he'll be the PG eventually) will make things hard for the Lakers in years to come. Trade Hinrich, sign LeBron for $20mil/yr, and the Bulls would still have $10mil to offer Joe Johnson (not a max guy, but can be a good player when he's not counted on to carry a team, i.e. Atlanta in the playoffs this year).
Rose
Johnson
James
Gibson (or maybe a big from the draft)
Noah
Gotta find somewhere to move Deng (maybe for a future 1st), because I wouldn't wanna see a $12mil player sitting on the bench.

Ummm...LeBron is not a 4. He's a 3. I know he's bigger than your average 3, but the guy doesn't even have a back to the basket game, even though he's 6'8", 240-270.

No way Toronto goes for this on Bosh.

Add a first round pick (since we have an extra one from the Bobcats) and I bet they would go for that. Remember Bosh can leave for nothing. Deng is better than anyone they would get in free agency and Hinrich is not a bad player (remember his contract declines as it progresses). If Bosh says he is going to the Bulls I can't see them turning this down.

Exactly, people saying that Toronto will turn down our offer don't really understand the dynamics of the situation. Toronto has no power over Bosh, Bosh has all the cards. If Bosh says he is going to the Bulls, Toronto will take a bag of basketballs if that's all they can get.

In fact i think we can get bosh in a deal involving Deng.

What do you think?

Seriously? He has no post game to speak of. I think you're hung up on the fact that the guy is so big. Taj Gibson is more of a 4 than LeBron is. I wouldn't want him banging around with power forwards and centers on a nightly basis, anyway. The guy is a point forward, and putting him at the 4 would take away from his ability to handle, push, and distribute.
