...would you amnesty Boozer for Odom? Or offer the Charlotte pick for Lamar?

We can't sign him. Its after March 23. He'd be ineligible for the playoffs.

Sources said Monday that Odom's departure will be immediate and that the Mavericks intend to simply list him as inactive for the rest of the season instead of outright releasing him, leaving open the possibility that they could still trade him after the season in conjunction with the draft. Any team that has Odom on its roster as of June 29 must buy him out by that date for $2.4 million or otherwise accept responsibility for the full $8.2 million that Odom is scheduled to earn in 2012-13.

Even if either side had pushed for a formal release, there is little upside to taking that step now with Odom ineligible to play in the playoffs with another team because he wasn't waived before the March 23 deadline.

I'm not sure I would want Lamar Odom. Have you seen him play this season? He's been awful. Plus, he'll be 33 years old next season and his heart doesn't seem to be in the game anymore.

Dallas will try to trade him before the release him. There's no way we can get him in a trade unless we offer guys that make close to what Lamar makes. There's no way we trade guys that make around 9 million [which would be 2 guys. Probably Brewer + Korver, Hamilton + Korver, Watson + Brewer, orver, Hamilton, etc.]. And if the Mavs released him, we couldn't offer more than 5-6 million per year in free agency.. and There would probably be a team out there that would be dumb enough to give Odom at least 7 million a year. Or, there's a chance he could take little money to back to LA and play for either the Lakers or Clippers again.. since that's where his wife lives.

I'm for using the AC on Boozer.. but not to replace him with Odom.

Odom can't be implanted into any team, and provide an impact. His mind and heart are made up, as to who he wants to play with, and what system he is comfortable in.

So no, you don't touch Odom. He would be a distraction.

If Boozer doesn't perform in the playoffs the Bulls should Amnesty him so they can give Asik and Gibson new contracts.

That would be awesome

If and only if Boozer sucks in the playoffs (what I don´t think he will!), this might be a pretty good plan.

Amnesty Boozer, get Eric Gordon and move Gibson to the starting spot.

Rose
Gordon
Deng
Gibson
Noah

Does that even work with the salaries???
