If and only if Boozer sucks in the playoffs (what I don´t think he will!), this might be a pretty good plan.

Amnesty Boozer, get Ben Gordon and move Gibson to the starting spot.

Rose
Gordon
Deng
Gibson
Noah
Where will the championship parade go through???

Does that even work with the salaries???

No, we're already $11 million over the cap and Rose's extension hasn't even kicked in. We're going to have to exted Asik (which I'm assuming is the plan). The only salaries coming off the books are Scalabrine, Lucas and Asik (again, I'm figuring we're resigning Asik. He's making about $2 million this year, he'll more than likely get a raise)

Using the AC on Boozer essentially just takes care of Rose's extension for the first two years. It's like we're robbing Peter to pay Paul. Unless we move more than one core guy, we're going to have our starters locked in for the next three years.

^ This.

I think people are seriously misunderstanding the Amnesty Clause. For 1) RIP CANNOT BE AMNESTIED. Let's make that clear right away. He signed after the new CBA so he's exempt. 2) Amnestying a player while you are over the cap does not mean you have more cap space to sign FA's. We are over the cap already & only a shade under the LT. Next season we will be a full fledged LT team, which means we will only have the mini-mid level ($2.5mill) & vets min to get FA's. Unless there is a trade, Ben Gordon, Eric Gordon, Jeff Gordon :troll:, none of them will be a Bull next season.

Odom will probably try to go back to the Lakers. That seems to be the only team he his heart will allow him to play for.

I'm not so sure about that. He had alot happen to him this year with his cousin being killed, then being involved in a fatal car accident (as a passenger), & then getting traded to a team that really didn't have any role for him. It was a tough year for him. Once he clears his head, I think he'll be open to anything.

Dallas will use Odom as a chip for a potential draft day trade (June 28th) or buy him out by his deadline the next day. So unless LA trades for him, he will have to sign for mini-mid level & let's be honest, he can get much more than that on the open market.

Odom's a ***** and a prima donna. What's really funny is he's not even good enough to dictate where he wants to play.

He is probably going to play for the Clippers next season because the whole team is a joke.

Playing with the Lakers was the place that allowed him to forget his issues temporarily. They were his safe haven. The fact they had a failed trade involving him just added to the things going on in his life.

But in my opinion, he could play for other teams once he copes with things better. But his comfort is with the Lakers, going back there would be like going back home for him.

I agree. I'm just saying the present circumstances probably won't dictate a LA reunion. The chances he ends up back on the Lakers are pretty slim. I think they've moved on from him. LA has to try & get Howard in the off-season, not welcome back Odom & Fisher.

If his mind would ever be in it enough for him to be effective to play for ANYONE, I'd take him for the minimum. Odom's a good player when he has his head in the game. That hasn't happened at all this season, but if he gets back to form, he'd be an interesting piece to have. That said, I doubt he'd want to come here anyway.
