Pax already said his main focus this season was draft positioning, not trades or trying to land any of the major free agents this offseason.
Yes, these were his words.
Pax also stated that he doesnt believe that the Bulls have any realistic chance at landing 1 of the top 5 or 6 free agents.
Sounds like F.O incompetence to me.
A transcript of a very lowkey interview with Pax was read on espn radio 1000 and hour after the season opener with Miami.

The Bulls are only an injury or 2 away from this becoming very possible.

I dont care either way.
The Bulls are a 4th or 5th seed at best in the east and championships arnt in the radar anytime soon.
So **** it........
Without contention its all meaningless.................

Am i cool with it? what choice do i have as being a powerless fan other than accept mediocracy.

Jabari Parker can take DRose's place as leader of the Bulls when he tears his other acl.
When Rose comes back, he can play a Pippen roll for him.

The Bobcats will suck forever, so im sure the Bobcats picks will always be in the top 8 until the Bobcats are sold to another city in the next decade.
Jordan doesnt know what hes doing over there.
He would of probably been more successful off if he had came back and played basketball at 50 like he told everyone in his lies and deception at his hall of fame ceremony a few years back.

He should sell the cats to chicago so we can have a second team.

If it got us a top 5 pick, I'd be cool with it. If Rose doesn't get his mojo back this year, I am definitely cool with it. Sadly this team will be a playoff team with or without Rose, so it probably its a pointless debate. Though its interesting to think about.

I didnt get that info from a link.
I listen to espn1000am somtimes.
I just happened to be listening an hour after the Bulls loss to Miami.
They read a transcript word from word from a non filmed or tape recorded private interview from what they claimed was a liable source.
I am baffled that i couldnt find any links on google.
Not all information will be on the internet, especially lowkey swept under the rug shit....
I dont think this was information that was supposed to become public, which makes sense coming from PaxGar who normally keep things hush hush.
So dont expect to find a link.
What was read on espn1000am was probably most likely unauthorized leaked info that wasnt meant to become public.
I dont think its bullshit.
Why would espn read fake transcripts and ruin there creditbility?

Im also not suprised that espn hasnt talked more of this since....Could it be that its too unpleasant or negative?
Or could it be the higher powers demanded that espn keep there mouths shut after reading that transcript?

I have no reason to believe you're lying, so if it's all actually true then I really don't see the point in all of it. We may as well just trade Derrick Rose now then if that's the case. Why the **** would you play for draft position when you're going to be drafting at the back end of the draft? Hell if I were Derrick Rose and that came around as being true I'd be pissed as ****. Well hopefully he gets back to form soon so we can see more superstar games from him in a Bulls uniform before he leaves.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
It'd be better than pining for someone in free agency :shifty:

It's like the year we got Rose, the season sucked, but at the end of it we got a stud so it was all good. Same deal here.

According to odds and some pretty complicated formulas, the best case scenario for the Charlotte draft pick is a 7th rounder by 2016, which historically yields a 14% chance for an All-Star caliber player. They could probably wait until 2018 and pray for a crack at a top 5 pick (4% chance). IMO, they should just get rid of it, along with a package deal for a stud player they can build around and look to the future.

Thats the same question that came to my mind when i heard this on the radio.
I saw it as a cop out from the gm to even say somthing or think that way. Pax saying we have no chance at a trade or significant free agency sounds like he has given up and wont use a real effort and try to. So maybe that would be his reason for looking toward the draft.
On a positive, purhaps Pax is considering trading one of our starters or a sign and trade of Deng with a team for there higher draft pick.
But it doesnt matter either way. If Pax is so incompetent that he wont give it his best effort in his power to lure one of the top free agents OR come up with some kind trade ideas, then **** him.

Hell if I were Derrick Rose and that came around as being true I'd be pissed as ****..

Thats was also my first thought about this upon hearing this discussion on the radio.
When i watch Derrick Play, i can almost see it in his eyes this season...Of course Derrick Rose wouldnt publicly speak about this if he knows somthing.
But if this Pax interview stuff is all true, better believe Derrick Knows about it...Derrick knows a hell of alot more than the public does....And im sure he speaks to his family (brother) about this.............I wouldnt be suprised if Derrick has Reggie speak FOR HIM publicly again somtime this season with simlar comments to last years....Too bad Rose is too nice a guy to say it himself...Coming from Rose himself instead of out of anothers mouth would probably do alot of good, because then the F.O would have more pressure on them to actually do somthing about the displeasure of there franchise player.
If your frachise player is unhappy, it cant be good for business, especially if you risk loosing your top player down the road.

Im most certain that Derrick isnt dazzled with PaxGars progress....Not in the slightest.
Too bad Derrick is too quiet and meek to express his displeasure to Paxs face.
Because thats probably exactly what it would take to snap Pax out of his standpat relaxing daydream and escape from reality.
The reality is that the responsibility of roster upgrades in talents falls soley on the F.O, not the players or coaches.
So who else do you blame other than the F.O for the slow turtlelike approach lack of progress rosterwise?
Who else?

If it leaked out from anyone that Paxson was trying to tank the season...that would be newsworthy enough to make print elsewhere besides wmvp.

The news isnt always the best method in finding the truth.

Stop it.

Didnt say Pax wanted to literally TANK the season

What was read, was that pax basically said that draft positioning was the best chance at bettering the teams player personel..
Which he explained in his response was because of the low low chance at getting the best free agents that will be available.

Theres other ways to better postion yourself in the draft without tanking.

Pax could have a Bulls player or 2 in mind he would be willing to trade off to a team for there high draft pick.

The point is, PaxGar are NOT gung ho about bringing stars here and never have been.

I disagree with the draft positioning thing all together.
I think the best chance at building a championship team on the Bulls is by bringing in a proven STAR and difference maker.

The only way Paxs confidence will allow himself to actually bring stars here is to get them in the draft and mold them like homegrown weed.
