If we lost this player, it would cost everything

Been reading a lot of talk of Amos or Callahan, and replacement scenarios.

Watching the pro bowl and the week festivities, what was profoundly apparent was the “just hanging out with the guys” and the “relationships you get to build” as being the buzz for those that get the opportunity to go.

The seven we sent, well, at least the 5 we saw consistently, seemed to bond even more due to it.

Now, my question: given the Bears seem to have a tight knit group, what player loss in the off season might unravel the bond the most?

Saying Mack isn’t what I am looking for, and unreasonable. I guess I am just wondering if any of you have insight into the players who really bind the locker room together.

Of the guys that could reasonably be gone, I would have to say Josh Bellamy. He seems to be a glue guy that everyone likes.

If there was a reason to keep Long besides expecting him to being close to his old self...
That said, I think these are big boys and circumstances of leaving would be the only thing to cause a rift.

That wasn't the question. It was what locker room, good teammate type - that we could realistically lose - will hurt the most.

I answered it.
Incorrectly. And I am an IU grad and Howard fan.

Didn't Howard throw a hissy fit after a blowout victory because he didn't touch the ball enough?

I thought it was more along the lines of "If we're winning, it doesn't matter"

I think if the question is more about who is the biggest locker room presence then it's more about two guys we could cut or restructure in K.Long and D.Trevathon cause i've never heard of either one of Amos or Callahan being big locker room guys, but we also don't know for sure if they are or not, but we have heard that both Danny and Kyle are and there has been talk of each one getting cut with Kyle getting more of that talk then Danny does.

I was kind of leaning towards Bellamy, as his tweets and posts are often hilarious and the team seems to love him...

But, do they all? Like when he dropped in at the probowl, wasn’t that kind of weird, like what the hell are you crashing our invited only party for?

Or do most just think, we’ll, he will never get the invite here, and since there are so many of us here already...

If they get rid of Chase Daniel, will thst cause problems. Not game day problems, but practice, and locker room or qb room problems?

Type thing.

I guess you don't need reading comprehension skills at IU.
You don't, just an ability to party hard with hot girls in your early post pubescent years is enough to get you by. It was glorious.

Pace kinda answered this question...

who did he sign unexpected? Who is a rock and kyles stabilizing friend? Who has been core to a line that is known for their work ethic, off-season workouts, and comradery?

Massie has been a good soldier despite his pass blocking issues that are physical...

Pace decided the glue guy he couldn't lose was massie, and we will see if amos is same.

I thinking Bellamy too. He’s kind of a Swiss Army knife type.
But, the really cool thing is, I think they all want to stay and be a part of this team. Granted, if they really low ball someone that’s a different story...

Not sure how much of a impact he had last year with the injury, but Acho always seemed to be a important Locker Room guy for the horrible Fox teams. I have had him as a guy to cut and get his $2.5 million back for something else. But should the Bears hold on to him as a cheap OLB option with a strong Locker Room presence?

There is not one guy besides Mack if we lost, that would ruin everything. He one that may come close is Hicks

There’s no guy the Bears could reasonably lose this offseason who would really hurt the locker room big time.

I suppose if a Mitch Trubisky or a Tarik Cohen died in a car crash or something—but I know that’s not what you were looking for.
