Next you'll cite Drew Brees 2009 stats or Aaron Rodgers 2010 stats as solid. Or Flaccos 2012 post season performance as "not superstar"
Are you Drunk, how the hell would Drew Brees and Arod be average???

Flacco (should have been a Bear) was average most of the season and his career in my opinion until the postseason that is, then he lit it up. I have no problem giving props to quality play. I guess your disdain for Cutty is clouding your comprehension. I am not saying Cutler is better than Drew Brees Tom Brady Rodgers etc...

I am saying that guys like Brady, Eli, Rothlisburger etc had season when they didn't play like "superstars" and the team won the superbowl. Thus its not an outlier that a non superstar caliber QB performance can get your team to win the superbowl IN THIS ERA.

If Cutler had da fire and da passion, would he compare? Or does he need a motor also?

He needs to make people miss first

Rodney, is Jim McMahon a bust?

:troll:
Um Ive been on and off CBMB since back in like 06/07 I think, I was Big Papi and then Xplosive but never Rodney38 if that is who you are thinking I am, but don't let the truth stop your comedy... please carry on.

P.S.
I take it Rodney hated McMahon, well I don't hate him I think he was great wished I had a number 9 jersey as a kid. But hey you guys are brilliant I must really hate the Best QB I have ever seen on the team up until now... Yes Kramer was good for a year, I liked Jim Miller too... None of them are better than Cutler but like I said

Carry on.

So superstars are their best when they don't have their best season.

Got it
Dear Moon Mullin, put down the bottle sir....

Every superstar player does not begin their career as a superstar. They start off as a diamond in the rough, meaning they make good plays and bad plays as they are developing. If they just so happen to be on a team with a great defense and good running game, that young solid player can help that team win the SB. Whether they become a superstar 3 years after they win their 1st superbowl has nothing to do with what kind of player they were in the beginning. I would hope people could understand that but I suppose it is complicated.

Just because Tom Brady became a superstar later in his career does not change the fact that early in his career when he won the superbowl he played like 85 QBR player that threw for about 3500 yards. He did not lead that team to the superbowl, the defense and running game led the team, and Tom played an important role in keeping the team moving. I am not saying Jay Cutler needs to be Tom Brady the superstar, he can play like a young Rothlisburger/Eli/ or ever Brady and take advantage of his defense and running game.

Please sir think of your liver and have no more scotch for today.

So all Cutlers gotta do is play like a young superstar to be a SB winner.

Makes even more sense

First of all why do you keep bringin up HOF this and HOF that other than to keep the weak arguement that the 2013 Bears arent good enough to win???

Again when have I said that having a HOF RB and DEF are a requirement...I have said this before and until the season begins I will keep saying it there are to many new faces and too many unknowns to say that this team is good enough win. The team has talent, but a very hard schedule, with a DC who has only coached a subpar defense, a Brand new HC who is a HC for the first time in the NFL, a completely retooled o-line, MLB is unknown at this time on how that position will be...So saying that if McMahon can win a Super Bowl so can Cutler is just plain dumb because McMahon didn't have a ton of unknowns...he had a HOF def and a HOF RB and an all-pro oline. Cutler has none of that right now.

I don't care if the defense isn't better than 1985 cause they wont have to be, I don't care if Forte isnt better than Payton because he doesn't have to be. You talk (or type) out of both sides of your mouth, one side says I know Teams win all the time with good defense/running/ and average QB... The Special person side of your mouth keeps talking about "they can only do it with HOF Defense and HOF RB"... Smack your self and make up your mind....

Again, no one is saying that he has to have those to win...most on here have simply said Cutler has to minimize mistakes and play effeciently to win. If the oline end up improved from last year and the drop off on defense isn't too significant...than it is all on Cutler playing smart and not forcing the ball to a double covered Brandon Marshall

Top Notch QB might win 60% of the time, the other 40 is mixed with Eli Manning to Trent Dilfer. Once the Eli Manning and Trent Dilfer win because of a good running game and strong defense suddenly they are "Elite" (see Joe Flacco). Turn off sportscenter and maybe you will stop believing that Jay Cutler is a terrible QB that cant take his team to the SB.

P.S.
Don't take yourself too seriously you are far from out of my league Madden Jr.

And again when did I say you can't when with an average QB...you have a better chance with the top notch QB...but if you look at those QB's (and on Monday if you are still carrying on about this I will find the thread where I posted these stats) most of them were effecient and had TD/Int ratio close to 2 which in my eyes is the mark of an efficient QB...I couldnt care less how many yards Cutler throws for or how he ranks amongst the QB's in 1985...if he can start being smarter with the ball and have a 2:1 TD/Int ratio than I will be a happy Bear fan...I will even support extending him.
