So it's the refs fault the Bulls can't play defense?

No...but it's the Refs fault (or sterns, possibly) that Rose can commit an offensive foul in overtime on KG, who was not only in the air, but 100% inside the restricted circle...

That was the right call. Rose got him with the forearm after the shot.

Rondo was pushed out of bounds earlier... no call and the Bulls took the ball... nobody here complained about that.

Bulls forced OT against the Celtics without Boozer, in the chaser game of a back2back situation.. on their court.

This sucks.

Did refs play a part in some of this? Yes
But look at this too guys,we kept on getting burned by picks for Rondo and him driving to the basket, wide open shots for Ray Allen. How do you explain those? We need to improve our defense. Offensively imo we didnt really have much chemistry(and really overall this season and I think overtime we will get better) until the 4th quarter and OT. I think Thibs is still trying to figure what match ups he should put out on the court but over time we will improve and so will Thibs. Props to the Bulls coming back at the end like that!!

Then, my apologies, I thought it was called on the shot, not afterward...
And as for the 2nd point...this is a Chicago Sports msg board...who's going to say anything about that? lmao.
But, on the fo'real, I know there's missed calls every game in the NBA...I try not to ***** about them..just when they seem really, really obvious...it frustrates me...

Ah well...go out, win the next game...it gives me a wee bit of comfort being fairly sure we win these last two w/ Boozer.

Well said...and I agree...our defense has not looked good...but I expect that to improve...and props to Thibs as well...for figuring out you can't play 5 reserves at once...multiple times during the game...

I still don't understand why we signed a guy like Kurt Thomas, for games like this where we need someone to **** with KG and Big Baby's head. Yet... he plays 2 minutes and doesn't get any box-time.

Ahhh how many times in the last five years have we seen the Bulls not get a shot off at the end of a game? Man that gets frustrating.

The Bulls have to have a plan when DRose gets doubled, it always seems like they get way out of sync when the Celtics do that. Im assuming other good teams are going to do this a lot. May be it will get better when Boozer gets back.

One good note was seeing Korver and Rose on the court at the same time, especially in crunch time. I only wish Korver was a little better on D, then I think he would be a good starter and get more minutes.

Kurt thomas isn't out there, because thibs like scal better. They're both going to kill us while out there, but scal is a better passer? I'm not really sure. i'd rather see JJ or deng out there at 4 than either of them. Go small and let cj or brewer play the 2, rose at the point, korver at the 3. deng/jj or noah at the 4, noah/asik at 5.

I've got no problems with the D really, we're doing a good job inside, and outside we're challenging most shots reasonably well, and that's with our best perimeter defender in Brewer only playing limited minutes. Once you have Brewer playing the passing lanes we'll be able to force more turnovers, and once Boozer comes back our rebounding and fouling will be a lot more solid. Obviously Boozer isn't a great defender but until Asik stops fouling every other possession Boozer is actually going to help us more I think.

While obviously the results on D aren't perfect yet the system seems fine and that's really all you can ask for 5 games in with a new coach, so many new players & key players out.

Offensively it's two games in a row where we've lost the game in the 2nd while Scal & JJ were out there. Both times when we put the other bench players in without those two we made runs in the 4th. It's time for Thibs to cut the rotation back and freeze those guys out. Cut our second quarter dry spells out and this is actually a good offensive team.

Key players out? Um, Boozer is the only one injured.

But when the guy you rely on to be your #2 scorer is the only guy that's out...it makes an impact...I think that's what he was getting at.

Brewer and Korver were key players in the success of Utah, granted, with DWill making it a lot easier for them to find their shots. Those guys will find their shots with us in due time. DRose and CJ need to understand Brewer and Korver's game too. Get Rose in with Korver and Brewer more often, find a way to get Korver open, find Brewer cutting towards the rim, open the lanes up for Rose, still who will shoot the 3 ball in the clutch?

I agree with Shakes, Scal and JJ are not contributing consistently . Look for Ronnie Brewer on the starting line up in December, with a brand new Boozer. Things will look different by Dec/Jan........with or without Denver's star forward on our roster. I also expect a trade. For who? I dont know. But things will be different soon. Just hang tight.

(Bogans will be on the bench. He's only in until Brewer fully recovers.)

How about Deng continually giving easy lanes to the basket on high screens? Passable?
