After people spent the last week downplaying Rondo's abilities on this forum, I guess now its Westbrook's turn...

Well we have boozer to match up on Durant now, while i like Gibson a lot, Boozer will be able to shut down Durant a lot better than Gibson could. Mainly because Gibson is still growing/learning. We out rebounded them the first meeting, we should destroy them now off the board. Boozer can average the points Gibson couldn't, and lets be honest, Deng wont have the same game, he is too good, i mean, he went -11 on the floor.

Our bench will outplay them too, Korver is going crazy lately, were in there last meeting he only hit 2 baskets, none 3 pointers, and brewer was 0-6. Now with Gibson coming off, we should have no problem beating them.

HOW is Boozer going to shut down Durant? That is laughable. Boozer can't play defense that well and Durant is one of the hardest players in the league to guard.

By the way, Gibson is a better player defensively than Boozer is...

LOL...Westbrook is about as much a 2nd option as Rose is. He has spent half the year being the first option on a 14-7 team...

First off, Boozer is an improvement because when Gibson sat, we were screwed, now when Boozer sits, we have Gibson.

second, boozer got 9 rebounds, in 30 minutes, and arguably he is still not 100% healthy, Gibson got 9+ rebounds one game in 30 minutes or less, granted that game he went big, the fact is, we have boozer for a reason, he is overall a better player than Gibson

Nobody said that Boozer wasn't a better player. The post said Boozer would have a better chance of shutting down Durant. Boozer is not as good defensively as Gibson. Point blank. It isn't much of a contest either.

The statement is also inaccurate because Durant plays a different position than Boozer and Gibson...

Loul Deng will guard Durant, he did a good job last time on him and he should do a good job again tonight.

boozer isn't good enough on defense, nor is he fast enough to guard durant. Let's hope deng does a good job on him, or put brewer on for a bit, and JJ in spurts.

You are talking about theory, what I am talking about is what he has actually done. Just as Deng has played the role of the second guy because of Boozer's injury, Westbrook has played top banana because of Durant's injuries. And he has been very successful. Remember, Westbrook almost singlehandedly beat the Celtics without Durant and Green. OKC getting that victory was highly improbable but Westbrook was the key to making it happen.

Final score prediction:

Chicago - 104
Oklahoma City - 103

I'm curious as to what your record is this year on calling the games (Not score wise but calling the winners).
