Luckily the Penguins have been having some injury issues
Crosby is out for sure. Letang is most likely out and Staal/Michalek/Adams are all questionable.

ChrisKuc is saying that Seabrook will be in the lineup. Some players seem to somehow avoid concussions and symptoms...Seabrook looks like he is one of them.

He had one in the playoffs...

How many games did he miss from that hit?
How many games did he miss from the Wiz hit?

Seabrook clearly avoids symptoms even from hits that would be devastating to others.

He bounces back pretty quickly. Clearly, he isn't the type of guy that gets bad symptoms, experiences, etc from concussions...

He missed 2 and a half games for the Torres hit.

Don't remember how many for the Wiz hit.

I'm not disagreeing, just saying that he has had them before, but he seems to recover quicker than others. It all depends on the person.

Missed only 2 games from the Torres hit and 2 games from the Wiz hit.

Re-read my point that you first replied to...I said he is a person who doesn't seem to get concussions or symptoms from them. If you have a legit concussion, you aren't going to be out for just 2 games. There are players who are affected by them and players who aren't...luckily Seabrook seems to have luck on his side with this issue.

But with the Colby Armstrong situation, who says that he didn't just play with it?

One of my friends has a concussion right now and she says that it's just like a bad headache at all times. A big tough NHL player can play with that if they really want to, in my opinion.

Not with the new tests and rules they have.

The Armstrong situation is very different and is amazing that no one saw him get hit. With that many people on the bench, cameras, in the crowd, etc...it is almost always going to get picked up if a player gets clocked in the heat...and the appropriate tests (which NHL players say are hard to pass even when not concussed) will be issued.

Clearly if Seabrook is able to play, he had to complete every single test making sure he is concussion free.

True. I'm just worried that it might be too soon for Seabrook. Just look at how spaced out he was after that hit. It's amazing that he didn't get a concussion from that.

I believe I had them a couple of times (concussions), once from hockey where I ran into a guy and he fell on the base of my skull with his knee (was protected by the helmet) - but I tell you what .... you reactions are a lot slower in everything -including responses to questions.

It is scary; and I don't think one can just play through them.

I don't recall it being all that painful; but it was noticeable.

Spacey is a pretty accurate description.

Yep. That's exactly what I remember when I assume I got one (like you, the doc never bothered to check out us oldtimers for that). I was spaced out, getting up ready to play again before the fellas stopped me. Not a ton of pain.
