Looks like both teams are gonna leave everything on the ice tonight.

Rather disappointing loss. Can't say I am surprised though. Anaheim has had the Hawks number since the beginning of time.

Shitty beef.

Ducks are tough. They brought the physical game early and seemed to land a solid hit every time the Hawks went for a puck.. Brouwer was really getting smacked around in the first.

Fun game to watch though. It was tough and hard hitting, yet there was a ton of speed and not a lot of stoppages in play. Crawford was GREAT and Emery did what he had to do. Hawks really didn't get a lot of killer chances. No breakaways and really no big odd man rushes.

Toews' line started out a little slow while Hossa's line really came out strong. Toews definitely picked things up later and had some good chances late. Nice game from Kopecky too.

Tough loss, but a good game.

How do you guys like our chances on the road against the Red Wings and the Bruins?

I didn't get to see Kruger's first game, but so far I like the kid. He is not the savior by any means, but he looks really solid in his own zone. I would like to see him taking more shots and chances on offense though.

Crawf has been beast. Hawks are really bringing the physical play right to the bigger/stronger ducks. I love it.

I don't think Kruger is much of a shooter. If he lives up to the hype that is out there (in some cases "savior" is exactly the correct word), he'll be more of a playmaker who will be very solid defensively.

Did Toews, Kane, and Stalberg play tonight? I'm not sure...

Props to the Ducks d-corps.

I haven't seen anything from Kruger. Well, except for when he was flopping around at the ducks blue line and saved a potential odd man rush.

The Toews line definitely picked it up later in the game. Toews was busting his ass in all zones (duh) as well as killing at the dot (duh again). The Ducks were a really tough matchup for Kane though- there were a few times where he was just flat out too small and the Ducks were too eager to lay a hit on him. Stalberg was hitting (skating to, not shooting at) the net ok, but he wasn't doing much when he was there and Emery definitely wasn't giving up any rebounds.

He hasn't been allowed to show much. Not only is Q easing him into the NA game (rightly so), but also this might have been his first game becoming accustomed to the 7 hour time change - or maybe not as he's been around for what 4 days? It's kinda unreasonable to have high expectations (not that you are) for him this season. Next season, we'll have a much better gauge of where he stands (as long as he can remain healthy).
